Gerrard does an excellant job at winning free kicks just outside the box but very rarely do we manage to convert them into a goal. Thus there is a need for someone who can offer us a bit more quality when it comes to taking free kicks.
We'll be a far more potent side if we can make such a addition to our squad.

Barcelona  -  ronaldinho
Juve - nedved
Inter - adriano
ar.se- henry
AC - shevchenko,kaka
Benfica - simao
Manure- beckham

the point is that every team(other than chealski) that has managed to win their resp. countries
league have had a excellent free kick taker who could (or still can) score around 7  goals a season 4m them. These extra  goals would surely go  a long way in our push towards the title.(Dont take chealski into account as those other teams donts havn't 500m in a season and havn't been helped  by someone 4m Russia with cash!)

cheers!

I would like to make a little point in that Beckham now plays for Real Madrid. In fact he's been there for a while now.

I think Gerrard, Alonso and Riise are very good free kick takers and that all can swerve the ball.

I have seen a fair few of Ronaldinho's free kicks and will say that he misses them sometimes.

In case Gerrard and the maestro alonso cant take the free kick, we still have our cannon Riise.
