Lawrenson is two faced - One story for england

The Premiership - General Discussion

Mark Lawrenson was talking about Roy Keane leaving Manu on Saturday and said he was up there with Bryan Robson (fair enough), Cantona (personally I'd put Keane higher) and David Beckham (what the Fukk?)

Because he was on English media (and DB is very popular in England) he was making out that Beckham is in that class. However I've often heard him on Irish radio joking about how naff Beckham is and how he's a marketing tool.

The two faced git. At least Hansen was honest enough to say Keane has been the player of the premiership.

Just for the record - this is not a Roy Keane thread (I can't stand him) but one on how two faced Lawro can be.

I for one think that since getting onto MOTD lawro has become oe of the worst ex-reds for criticising the club that made him who he is. I know people are allowed to have their own opinions and that Liverpool have slipped from the heady heights of lawro days but there are one or two ex-reds that have bitten off the hand that used to feed them; st.john to name another. ST. gets right on my wick with his constant "well back in my day" bollox and his inexplicable fear of liverpool moving forwards. I have a theory that some of the ex-reds that are like this are fearful that a new generation of legends will rise and the old boys will be forgotten and they'll lose their after dinner speech tours  but seriously returning back to mr 'OOH! GARY' (Lawrenson) I tend to find on the odd occassion that I watch MOTD he has to go out of his way to find something to criticise the club about even when we've had a good win and i've lost any respect i had for him as a former red.
