Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I'd also like to point out that Juve aren't there. They're all they way down in 19th, with Barca and Chelsea not there wither, the legitimacy of this stat is very questionable. Also have Newcastle much higher that Real Madrid and Barca doens't make sense. Nice to see Liverpool there, but I don't belive it sorry.

I personally wouldn't use this stat to have a go a Chelski & Manure. I think that 18 League titles compared to 2 & 15, as well as 5 European Cups compared to 0 & 2 is enough.

IT'S OFFICIAL - REDS ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD

Liverpudlians have sung about it for years but now it's official - Liverpool Football Club is the best in the world and we have the stats to prove it!

Following the publication of the latest World Club Rankings by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics the Reds are today sitting proud as the top team in world football.

Based on domestic and continental results over the past 12 months, the reigning Champions of Europe are listed as the number one club side on the planet and who are we to argue?

"The World Club Ranking is a precise classification showing the real level of the clubs free of any subjective influence," reads a statement on the IFFHS website. "It is the result of a profound analysis that allows us to fairly report the level of international performance for each country."

The formula used to determine these rankings is a complicated one and is explained in more detail on the said website - http://translate.google.com/transla....&u=http

But for now, sit back and bask in the glory of being able to look down on every other team in the world...

The IFFHS World Club Ranking - Top 50 (1st November 2004 - 30th October 2005)

1. LIVERPOOL FC (England) 295,0
2. FC Internazionale Milano (Italia) 292,0
3. FC Bayern München (Deutschland) 279,0
4. Milan AC (Italia) 262,0
5. Manchester United FC (England) 257,0
6. CSKA Moscow (Russia) 245,5
7. Olympique Lyonnais (France) 243,0
8. Arsenal FC London (England) 242,0
9. CA Mouth Juniors Buenos Aires (Argentina) 234,0
10. Villarreal CF (España) 233,0

Sorry mate, as much as I'd like to believe it is true I question the credibility of the rankings with the mancs in fifth. Surely chavski should be higher ranked than them?!!?!?!?!

Last two seasons

Mancs - 3rd in the Premiership (twice), one FA Cup win, knocked out of Europe at the first knockout stage two years running

Chavski - Premiership champions 2004/5, runners-up 2003/4, semi finalists in the Champions League two years running, Carling Cup winners

Not even a contest let alone close
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
