The difference between CL games, and prem games at Anfield is cos' you get more "Local based fans" at the midweek games the "out of towners"..eg (the foreigners) and "wools" cant get to them. The midweek atmosphere and singing is always more vocal.   :nod

I didnt go the match yesterday but thought the crowd were pretty noisy, obviously once we went 3-1 down it went quiet but what fans sing when they are in that situation ?
The point made about ooters is probably true with regards to the better atmosphere in Europe, but anyone who thinks the fans were quiet yesterday...either wasn't there or had the mute on the telly.
And as already posted it was great the way the fans sang ynwa at the end, the players know the fans will always support them no matter what.
I dont think Chelsea supporters would of done the same in that situation.

When Duff made it 2-1 the crowd instantly started to get behind the team to try and pick them up, but once it got to 3-1 heads went down...that is human nature, not many people are optimistic in that situation.
But i thought the fans were pretty good considering the result.

the fans of Lfc (at least those that stayed) showed their true class and colours when the final whistle blew yesterday. Every other team in the league would have been booed off.

i don't understand how people can leave a game 5 minutes before the whistle no matter how bad their team is losing :no  you go to the game to support your team and that means for the full 90mins

Agree with u wollyback. that kind of supporters only supports the team when the team is winning but turn their backs when the team loses. Yes, we're all frustated on sunday but it didnt stop us from watching the game until the final minutes, in the stadium or on tv. Liverpool supporters r special...if chelski fans experiencing the same thing, i bet most of em long gone before the final wisel blows.
