I'm a Season ticket holder and so obviously go to the home games in the league and I've noticed the difference when we play in the CL in terms of atmosphere.

All I can say is that for Prem games you sit in the same seat with the same people and maybe there is a certian familiraity and so therefore fans take it for granted. Approx 25,00 fans at home games in the Prem are season ticket holders so that makes a sizeable portion of the capacity.

On Wednesday the atmosphere was superb but even though the CL is at the group stage there is muuch more of a "cup tie" feel and thats reflected in the general attitude and approacjh of the fans. On wednesday we knew we could make a difference but in the league I think for many they believe it's a foregone conclusion that we can't or won't challenge. ???

It's not an opinion I share. I believe we may well not challenge for the title BUT we can have an influence on who does !!!!

then you'll know that night games always have the best atmosphere - and before anyone says, it's not because the 'irish' or 'norweigans' arn't there - probably because people sign to get a warm!!

Today and on Wednesday night the Chelsea fans were the loudest on a fair few occasions at Anfield. Must admit i was fairly shocked at that.

You obviously wasn't actually in the ground then  ???

I don't care where SKY put their audio pick up mics but anyone who was actually in the stadium on Wednesday could tell you we hardly heard a peep from the CFC fans   :glare:

Agreed.

The only time they sang was when the went 4-1 up.

TBH the only thing that REALLY pi$$es me right off at the match is the gobsh!tes that leave early - some left right after the 4th goal today - granted, we were on a hiding but FFS!!!

Imagine the outcry if the players left the pitch 10 minutes from the end of the game  :Oo:

Although I'd be more than a bit happy if Garcia would leave 90 minutes early  :D

Although the atmopshere wasn't as the same as it was in mid-week, our fans signing YNWA when we were down and out was fantastic. It showed what this club is all about.

You're spot on AB. No booing off the pitch like when Man Utd lost to Blackburn. We are a class above the rest.

Almost bright a tear to my eyes and it cheered me up to a certain extent, gave me hope. Most fans would had booed the team after a defeat like that one but not us.
