Chelsea forever. wrote:The first half was the most boring 45 iv ever seen in my life. Players were stationary, tactics were non-existent and everyone kept losing the ball.

The second half started even worse, I think all 20 players must have presented the opposition with the ball at least 3 or 4 times. I couldn’t understand Rafa's approach to the game and I thought he got it completely wrong to start with.

Garcia on and yet no change. One quick move and Garcia scores, 7 minutes later Liverpool are down 2-1. Reina - pathetic! Then a stupid hand ball in the penalty box, a red card a penalty and its 2-2! Crouch had a good chance to win the game but his header summed up his performance.

---

Birmingham were the better team, they created more chances and I must say Pennant and Gray turned Josemi and Warnok inside out quite a few times. They looked most lively and a lot of Liverpool players looked simply not bothered at trying to create a chance.

Best player on the pitch - between Pennant and Julian gray

Best Liverpool player - IMO all had a bad game but I will credit Gerrard with a total of 10 minutes of good play and Carragher with a total of 5.

Most stupid player - Garcia. Is getting subbed and takes his ring out, puts it in his mouth to try and conn the ref, gets on and takes it out of his mouth and gets caught so has to give it to the bench. Then throws the ball away and gets a Yellow.

--

This was a dreadful performance and if this is the way you are going to play there is no telling what the future holds. Cisse was on for 10 minutes before he got his first touch.

Reina was very bad with that goal he gifted and the 2nd one went in off his shoulder.

Josemi was poor, Zenden was pathetic, Pongo was also sad. Alonso surprisingly didnt have a good game either and Crouch was poor too.

Rafa better change his formation because this is obviously not working.

And some people in here actually welcomed this cu'nts previous contributions .

In fairness he never tried to hide his allegiance (his name says it all ) but perhaps some may now understand why I object to twa'ts like this hanging around our forum .

He's been a Chelsea supporter for all of 18 months , fu'ckin' glory hunter , pi'ss of back to your own forum ,we don't need you in here .

I agree Phil I am watching Chelsea now, and with 250 million spent on players drawing 1-1 with Villa I would not be logged on a LFC forum making topics about there team, so just :censored: off  get your own house in order before commenting on anyone else's.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

Back to the point of the thread . Match thoughts .

Insufficient ambition . We are better than this .

No problem with 4-5-1 against teams we may have to respect but Birmingham isn't one of them . C'mon Rafa , sometimes you've just gotta go for it .

It's very hard to stick up for CF after this post. Not only does he breach the unwritten rule of decency about keeping your council when you find yourself in somebody else's front room at a time of distress, but he also is wide of the mark factually.
CF, I thought Liverpool were very disappointing today but if you REALLY think that Crouch was useless, or even more unbelieveably that Birmingham were the better team then you are without any resemblance of a clue with regards to the game of association football whatsoever.

Bigmik - Excuse my hurried post as I have been drinking and i dont even know ho w many beers im down.

I will pull messlef together and tell you wha tI meant.

Crouch poor - This is 2 things.

1 - he was used in a poor way, initially in the 1st half a lot of balls were played to him and neither pongo or Zenden were anywhere near him. His knockdowns were useless as no one was there to take advantage of that.

2 - he fell over a few times and didnt create 'havoc' in the defense as he is expected to do. Im sorry, maybe its just me but if its a 4-5-1 away then I expect Crouch to create havoc and be a handful for defenders.

-

Brum the better team - because their attacking/creative players (gray and pennant) created more and cauzed more problems for Liverpool fullbacks than Liverpools creative players (zenden and Pnogo_) did for Brumz fullbacks. Infact i thought mario had a fairly decent game.

-

Im sure you agree that the 1st half had nothing and thus only the 2nd half should be spoken about.

and in the 2nd half i thought only Gerrard had any sort of impact from your side, he and Cisse put 1 or 2 balls in. He fizzed one in which was impossible for garcia to catch and themn complained that he didnt get it.

but i thought brum pressed and attacked more in the 2nd half with their wide men, but they had bad players too and i tht Mika forsell was terrible for them.

--

i accept my initial post might have been a little out of order, but those were just my instant thoughts as the game got over, overlapped with a 6am factory visit and a hurry home to catch the games + a lot of beer.

I apologize if I have been rude with my post and offended anyone - and its ok if people dont forgive but id just like to make it known that I am truly sorry if i came accross as a rude person - that was not my intention - i just thought it was a bad performance and perhaps i should have chosen my words wisely (keeping in mind im a visiting fan)

-

but i still stand by my thoughts, i think Rafa has a lot to do with the team as this formation isnt working. I think a 4-4-2 will suit just fine as Cisse has shown today what pace he has.

Ok a few player were rested for the CL but you had to pay the price, as did Manu with a defeat at home.

--

again - i am truly sorry if i came accross rude - but i stand by my thoughts and i have the right to have my thoughts about the game because i am an individual. i acknowledge a good game and so do i a bad one.

good luck
