Cisse.........is he another heskey? - He plays the same way as old emile.

From what I've seen of Djibril Cisse So far in a Red Shirt, he looks to me like he could prove to be another Emile Heskey.

No hear me out first!

Ok, He broke his leg in a bad way, but is over that and is fit enough for Rafa to pick him, or he wouldnt !
But i've seen him squander loads of chances, he shoots wildly over the bar, snatches/ scuffs chances, panics in front of goal, and is not clinical enough to score 20+ goals for us. he did that in the CL final too, often instead of passing/ squaring it, ok he's pacey but so was heskey.
He has no class in his finishing whatsoever. and people are SICK of LFC squandering so many chances in a game like V Sunderland, half of which fell to Cisse.

Honestly the way he plays reminds me of Heskey so far. Ok no matter how many goals he scored in the french league, thats one of the worst leagues in Europe. This is the EPL.

i predict if he stays fit etc this year, he'll score less than 15 goals, probably less than 10. Stevie will be LFC's top scorer..AGAIN!

Crouch?.....Dont ask!  :D  :D  I dont rate him either.

Although Rafa wont sign Michael owen, if we got rid of crouch and Cisse , Id gladly go for Owen, at least he was clinical with the ball!  Keep baros!

thats my summary of what I have seen.

Im sure a lot of LFC die hard fans will reply.." Oh you cant talk about poor Cisse like that" , but let me ask you.... what has he done to impress you? he's not that good. He did Feck all Versus Boro last week too.

Baros is a classier finisher than Djibril .

I see wot u mean, but i think that cisse is way better than heskey. You have to give cisse a chance. Come on the guy has sum how recovered from a double break to his leg! Also hes being played in the wrong position! he shud play in the centre not the wing! im sure once he starts scoring in the premership then he will never stop! :)  As for crouch im not so sure bout him!
The rafalution begins.. Happy Days!!

Dont know about Crouch, havent seen enough of him yet. Cisse squandered several opportunities v Sunderland. Two especially where he should have just nodded the ball into the net with his artisticly crafted head but chose instead to try and get some part of his leg to it.
Not ready to banish him to the boondocks just yet but he is doing nothing to keep wolves from the 15 million pound door.
(Exemption clause : Double communited break to lower leg within past 12 months). Additional time granted for excepional circumstances. Case in recess due to need for further conclusive evidence.

WTF ???

i can understand morientes criticism but cisse ? come-on. Which is better ?

1)getting on to chances and missing them ?

or

2)not even being seen in the match although playing 90 mins ?

I dont think you should judge him on a handful of performances  :no

You say keep Baros but how many goals did he score in an entire season last year  :no

Every player[striker] goes through a time where he can not finish off his chances. Owen has went through it, Van Nistelrooy has too and so many other strikers have as well.

After a couple of games you're already passing judgement on Cisse and labeling him as the next "Heskey".

i predict if he stays fit etc this year, he'll score less than 15 goals, probably less than 10. Stevie will be LFC's top scorer..AGAIN!

Do your homework next time. Gerrard was a joint top striker with Baros and Garcia. All three of them scored 13 goals.

Although Rafa wont sign Michael owen, if we got rid of crouch and Cisse , Id gladly go for Owen, at least he was clinical with the ball!  Keep baros!

thats my summary of what I have seen.

What makes you think we're going to sell Crouch and Cisse this year?

With the danger of being labelled a bitter, twisted vigilante on a witch-hunt duely noted, you are a complete tart, "Luis Garcia".

Cisse is ten times better than the "moody musketeer" Baros. You must have a dodgy memory if you've forgotten the FOUR FECKING MONTHS worth of chances Baros squandered last season. He's playing to get a better deal at another club, squire. NOT because he gives a rats todger about LFC.
For "Greedy, Selfish B*stard, see "Milan Baros".

I'd like to add that Baros went 15 games without scoring a goal. Cisse hasn't scored in 2 games and he's already a "Heskey"

Cissé hasn't shown anything but pace so far, he needs to start finishing those easy chances

On what basis do you say Djbril is not a good striker? Based on 2 games this season, both of which he has played out of position?

Cisse might not be the best striker in the world, but IMHO he has 15+goals in him. IF he is played in the position which is right for him (center of the pitch, just behind the main striker 4-4-1-1 or as striker 4-4-2,4-5-1) he can score a lot of goals. Much of his goals will be scored due to his pace. That is the part of his game that stands out the most, the fella is really fast. It would be very easy for him to peal away from defenders. As for his finishing, he isnt your soft baby placement touch finisher, he likes to hammer the balls in, and it doesnt really matter which way you finish, as long as the ball is in the back of the net.

So, if Rafa can sort out your right wing problem, play Cisse in his desired position, then you will see him score a lot of goals. It will take him a few games to adjust, so the sooner the better.

Chelsea Forever.

And let me tell you, once he starts playing as striker, you will see how much more he offers than Fernando.

Finally the one thing I can agree on with you Chelsea Forever. Cisse playing on the wing is only temporary until we sign a right winger or until Pongolle gets back to form (he's already played for the reserves)

if you talk about him wasting chances to associate him to emile heskey, then you would probably associate gerrard -who wasted more chances than the other mates (vs boro) to jean michel ferri or maybe frode kippe?
