According to reports coming from Sky Andrew (Jonathan Woodgate &Sol Campbell's representative) Liverpool are very interested in both his biggest clients. Speaking on fivelive & reported on talk sport Andrew said "Liverpool have been talking to me for some weeks regarding Woodgate & a loan deal is very much a possibility with Real trying to get the defender off the wage budget for the coming season" but he went on to say that "Madrid did'nt want the player sold until his fitness could be assatained". The Campbell bit was more interesting with Andrew saying that "Sol is looking for a transfer, if he is'nt getting regular first team action at Arsenal" & "Liverpool have bid for the player, but nothing was going on at the moment".
Benitez was trying to buy Woodgate before he moved to Real but the player favoured sunnier climes but I fancy this story might be true if & its a big if, if Woodgate can prove his fitness. I think the Campbell thing is just his agent trying to get something moving with the player being unhappy & Liverpool looking for a defender. YNWA

Either would do for me very nicely! You must remember though, Zak Whitbread is looking good. If we can give him as many games as possible it could become a v.good player indeed.

Anyway Not sure about woodgate but i think campbell would be a good buy if for a season or two untill we can find a younger one for the right price.

Sorry mate but I'm not new, was called spiral but it all got f**ked up when my mac died. About 700 posts in I'm afraid & if I want to put my posts here I can. Not in the best of moods trying to enjoy some fun posturing over new players & I get some 10yr old telling me what to do!!!!!!!!

Gotta say I don't think Whitbreads got it. He doesn't seem to have enough pace and awareness to me. He does knock a nice ball from defence but I don't think it's there to be honest. Unfortunately for him, Potter, Mellor and Welsh, Tranmere and Swansea are beckoning.

Sadly I dont think Whitbread's got what it takes. He's ok at a lower level but if anything I'd sooner have David Raven getting runouts or Menjani who looked really good in pre season & yet got loaned out which in our current predicament made no sence.

i think certain ones are too quick to get halfway down your throat before even considering the content of the "errant" post. and that IS disappointing...................

equally as disappointing is the mentality of discussion being open warfare...well it aint its supposed to enlighten. as irritating is the "damn i didnt get that reply/topic in first" approach ...?? er and how many brownie points on offer did you lose out on there then pal?? wtf

I'm quiet sure that neither is represented by Skylet Andrew, Campbell was represented by him but recently he has switched to the same agent group as Woodgate, and that is SFX.
