Premiership starting tomorrow

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

:D

Great post Lynds.

Too right the new season begins tomorrow and I can't wait. This will be an important season for us in terms of establishing ourselves as title challengers. Breaking in to the so-called top three and indeed sustaining consistency.

Of course the defense of the European Cup continues and I fully expect the team to sustain it's excellent form in Europe. Watchin the Bluenoses the other day, you could see from theit reactions to the refs decisions that they really don't have a clue , as good as Gollum.. oops I mean Moyes is, he can't cut it in Europe.

..and so the mighty Reds begin again, sing aloud come on the Red Machine...

we lurve you Liverpool we do .. we lurve you Liverpool we do...

Raaaafa Benitez, Rafa Rafa Benitez

Walk on with hope in your heart .. and you'll never walk alone..

Gawd I lurve this club   :)
THE BRENDAN REVOLUTION IS UPON US !

KING KENNY.. Always LEGEND !

RAFA.. MADE THE PEOPLE HAPPY !

Miss YOU Phil-Drummer - RIP YNWA

And if you check the forum out just before the match starts theres always links for where you can watch the game.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

So I see Lawro's pretty much written us off again before the season's even started which is a good sign. Infact the majority of pundits I've heard have pretty much already consigned us to fighting for 4th before a ball has been kicked. To be honest I prefer it that way. All the talk has been "How will arsenal cope without Vieira?", "Will Manure's strikers regain their form?". Nobody is really talking about us. We're not even considered a dark horse, that title has already been given to Spurs, just on the premise that they have signed Davids (who'll only be good if Spurs are doing well) and the fact that they have a lot of good young kids. Spurs promise to do much every year but inevitably always end up in mid table mediocrity. Expect the same again.

Nobody ever fancies us. I admit that we still need a couple more players to be where we want to be, but we certainly have more reasons to be optimistic. Our first eleven is capable of beating anyone on our day. The spine of the team is more solid than last year (Reina, Carragher, Gerrard, Morientes). We're not likely to be short of goals if everyone stays fit, unlike last season when we had the biggest bout of injuries since the Civil War.

People are underestimating Benitez this season already but I think that's how he likes it.

Bring it on! :alien:

Im happy too that they have written us off, i would have thought we may have been hyped as the European Champions. I think it will suit us fine not to have that much expectation

Cheers CGGY, it is actually being broadcast at midnight, i guess its a late KO over there

I like it when people underestimate us but I was looking at the poll on PremierLeague.com and our results are surprising. The question was "Who do you think will win the Premiership this season", there were thousands of vote and we had more votes than Arsenal.

By votes it went:
-Chelsea
-Man Utd
-Liverpool[20 some % of the votes]
-Arsenal[19% percent]
YNWA - DrummerPhil
Gone but not forgotten

I am very happy for no one to be talking about us being able to win the Premiership because if I remember correctly no one thought or said we would win the European Cup. Hopefully this will be a good sign.

Depends whos party it is?

if i was one of my best mates, then i would go to the party, although if it was just a mate or whatever, then i would watch the game and then appear later after the game has finished
