Big day tomorrow for us

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

What do yous reckon on tomorrows game troops?
Will we be down hearted with all our injuries, or come out like wounded lions?
Ive been wrong about some of the results recently the games we should have won and either lost or drew, I think we will get beat tomorrow personally, and im dreading it to be honest :(
Henry will probably play wenger pulled this stunt last season just before easter I think, he said he was injured and got a hatrick against us :glare: .
Traore has been good of late and we will no doubt miss him tomorrow.
Is Henchoz an option? Will Rafa play him?
What team will he put out?
I think they will be out all guns blazing as chelsea are 5 points clear and everton go 2nd if they win :( .
Think the best option is get a draw if we can anything else will be a bonus.
If all our players where fit I would go for a win.
But I just cant see it.
But if we win Ill be p.issed till tuesday
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Personally, I dont think our attack is good enough to score more than 1 goal so i doubt we'll win the game.

I think that we are just gonna be too limited up front to manage any real goal threat . Tomorrow might be a looooong day for our back 4 :(

Funny you mentioned about henchoz cos i reckon rafa might play this formation.

                          Kirkland
        Carra     Hanchoz   Hyppia   Risse
        Finnan    Hamann    Alonso   Kewell
                            Gerrard
                             Mellor

Plus Henchoz is always allowed a handball or 2 against arsenal  :D

I think we can put a good fight at home, we may not have that much firepower up front so its time from someone from the midfield to grab himself some newspaper headlines

well i aint going to the game coz i'm @ work
i'll be watching on TV
if we score it will be from a set piece
other than that,
my heart says- we will win 4-0.
my head says - we will struggle up front, and our defence will have a really hard time of it.
Only chance we have to gain somthing is if Kirkland plays like Jan Tomaszewski did in 1974

Can't see you lot scoring today!

Can see Arsenal scoring though!

You've got to win this match...and by the sound of Ljungberg words today, its vital for them to win cos they haven't been the same since we beat them.

Cos after they plan to win you, they intend to "get back on track."

I agree with the majority of posts on here that we will struggle against the Gunners, but as Wenger and our former manager persistantly believed when they took on the might of Man Utd at their peak, get into then, upset them a bit and use the width, then we could be in with a shout of getting a point, if not a sneeky win.

i'd go with;

Kirkland

Finnan
Carra
Hyppia
Risse

Hamann

Biscan
Gerrard
Alonso
Kewell

Mellor

If we could defend strongly and maybe grab a goal, then send ping pong on to stretch them with his pace while they are chasing the game.

Sounds easy hay!!!
