Why don't people understand that Owen is a greedy, selfish punk with as much love for LFC as most people have for the verucca's on their feet? He is NOT coming back. Get over it.

I have to agree to an extent. Owen couldn't have gone to Madrid quickly enough when they came in for him. He failed to sign the many contract offers from Liverpool and he believed that he would gain more success at Madrid. It all went wrong as he was no longer the first choice Golden Boy, he won nothing at Madrid and he missed out as Liverpool went on to win the Champions League. Owen has always been very ambitious and the truth is, he never believed he could fulfill his ambitions with LFC. Bad judgement. Now the rumours are he wants to come back. It doesn't work like that and I can understand Benitez's lack of interest. Why would you want a player who didn't believe in you and the team and went running to Madrid? You want players who believe in you from the start, not players who run out on you and want to come back now you are successful. Gerrard stayed and gave it a chance and got the most coverted medal in European club football for it. Morientes came to Liverpool knowing he wouldn't get anything from the European campaign. I don't want Owen back.

I wish all u Owen lovers would shut up for 1 minute and remember when he left, he never gave us any thought when he left and not ONCE did he show any remorse for leaving at the last minute and costing the club approx 12million in lost transfer revenue "I'm signing the contract theres no doubt about it he bleated for nearly 12 months", I for one will be disappointed if he comes back, would you take back a woman that had cheated on you just because she was good in the sack?

I want players who are prud to play for this great club is that to much to ask???
