Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think so. If I am not mistaken some loan deals stipulate that the club the player is loaned too pay the majority if not all of that player's wages.

and how would liverpool fans as a whole react if owen signs for the scum.

To be honest, if Owen does make a return to the EPL this season, there are only 2 or 3 clubs that realistically have a chance of signing him. I hate to admit it, but the SCUM seems most likey. Cant really see Owen moving to a club like newcastle (with all due respect to them)

Alot of things point to Owen playing for the scum next year.
~Arrival of Baptista and Robinho at madrid (with Raul and Ronaldo still around)
~world cup next year
~Owen/Rooney partnership
~His new house only an hour's drive from the SCUMs' training ground
~Owen himself publicily stating that if he were to come back to the primiership, it would be the SCUM if pool didnt want him back.

How would Red fans react watching a former KOP favourite scoring goals for of all ppl.. the scum..

It woudln't go down with me, and I am sure most others would feel the same.

He kicked many fans in the bollox with the whole Madrid saga, and if he were to turn out in Manure shirt it would sicken me, and their would be quite a bit of hatred for the lad I'm sure.

.. Owen's own conscious has to deal with this.. he knows the level of hatred... personally it don't bother me.. I respect and like him for what he did for our club.. he was awesome , lurved and revered by us all.. but he chose to leave.. and life goes own.. no-one is bigger than the club.. if Stevie G had left I would have been more devastated.. the rest is history.. the future whatever..

On the rumour thread?  :D

I know what you mean, and I still don't believe it, but some people are seeming to be very confident about him coming back. A loan deal is out of the Q, but it all depends on how Robinho and Baptista are going to fit into the Real side. Of course it was Owen's choice, he made his four poster filled with money and jewels in a sun-soaked paradise, he can lie in it.

At the end of the day, who knows?

If we get 6 mil we'll be robbing them

Baros is only 23 and he has potential although a bad attitude.

Yea 7 million would be robbing them, but they don't know that.

so shhhh!!!!!!!

:D

R u stupid, name a proven International striker that you could pick up for less then 6 million.  A player who gives a hundred percent every game. I doubt u can think of one.

if you ask me its a good deal alround.   :;):

Yea, that's what I'm saying.

6 mil or something would be a good deal for everyone.  7+ would be robbing them because they don't have that much money to spend.

They are looking for a loan deal anyway.  7 million would be way too much for them.

R u stupid? His international record will mean nothing if he doesn't prove himself for the club.

Ace Benitez said on .tv that signing a striker is not a priority so we aren't after Owen.

Somebody shoot me please.

Whether we go after him or him comming to us it doesn't change the fact that Madrid want 11 million for him. Benitez can and will spend that money on getting a CB and RM, which is our main priority.
