I know I'm clutching at straws here but....

I thought with Figo coming that would make any SWP talk dead in the water, as we would then have Nunez, Figo, Finnan an Garcia who can play right mid.

But now I see Nunez is on his way out, if I close my eyes real tight and wish really hard, that could still mean SWP is on his way???

Liverpool are apparently been eyeing Croatian international Dario Srna, according to the player's club.

Shakhtar Donetsk claim the European champions have made an enquiry about the midfielder, although with Steven Gerrard having now committed his future to the Reds, it remains to be seen whether anything will come of it.

"Yes, Liverpool have made an enquiry into the availability of Dario Srna," sporting director Viktor Prokopenko confirmed.

"Dario is of course a player we want to keep, but if the proposition is profitable for Shakhtar and for Dario, then we will release him."

Meanwhile, Liverpool have added two more familiar opponents to their pre-season friendly programme, either side of their Champions League first-round second-leg qualifier against TNS.

Rafael Benitez's European champions have a training camp in Zurich and face Bayer Leverkusen - whom they beat on the way to victory in Istanbul in May - in Lustenau, Austria, on Saturday July 16 before they fly back to play the Welsh Premier League side.

They will then head to Vaduz in Liechtenstein on Saturday July 23 to take on Olympiacos, against whom captain Steven Gerrard scored that memorable late goal which ensured progression to the second round of the Champions League

A few more rumours today to pass some time until we actually sign someone....seems some consistency again in some of these...mainly with SWP!!

But Millito and Aimar get regular mentions..and of course a certain Mr Owen. I say yes please!

1. Liverpool to sign Essien by end of next week for 15mil plus Baros. Also widely known Pablo Aimar and Milito are due to sign by end of next week...hence the three players benitez said were due to sign. Igor Biscan is on his way to Besiktas for 3mil while Josemi and Nunez will go to Ath Bilbao and Celta Vigo respectively. Also expect Figo and Dirk Kyut to arrive in the next few weeks.

2. shaun wright-phillips agent has said he will not sign for chelsea but will sign for liverpool for £22 million next week

3. My Brother is going out with Michael Owen's sister and he tells me that aimar ,figo ,upson and wait Michael himself might be back depends on Real signing Robinho.

4. Barcelona will bid £9m for Michael Owen early next week, having been told to stay away from Thierry Henry by Arsene Wenger.

5. SWP to Liverpool for £15m + Baros and Nunez.

6. liverpool will sign swp next week on a 4 year deal with 15m + diao and nunez going to man city. both aimar and ballack will be unveiled later today at a press conference as well as milito

7. Liverpool will be silent for weeks, because register date of champs-league has been passed. But don't worry, big names are on the way, eg. Figo(finaly for free on the end of July.),Milto,Aimar(the two will be cheap on Augest).

8. next week figo, sissoko and milito will be training at melwood

9. LIVERPOOL LOOK SET TO SIGN A YOUNG IRISH STRIKER BY THE NAME OF MC LOUGHLIN.REPORTS SAY THE YOUNG IRISHMAN CAN LOOK FORWARD TO VERY PROMISING FUTURE.I SAY ITS ABOUT TIME.

anyone know anything about boltons stellios coming ? last i heard was sam saying we got him for free so we have nothing to lose by keeping him for another season ? he wants to sign for liverpool

Biscan is off on a free, his contract has run out.

i've made no secret of the fact that i would LOVE to have Owen back in a Liverpool shirt. The guy scored a hatful of goals for Real (from the bench) and would be a great signing.
