Barcelona striker Javier Saviola has been told he is surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp.
Saviola, 23, spent last season on loan at Monaco and Barca have told him that he does not figure in the Spanish giant's plans for next term either.
"We have decided Saviola is not in our plans but it is down to him where he plays next season," said Barcelona's sporting director Txiki Beguiristain.
Premiership clubs Spurs and Newcastle are rumoured to be keen on the striker.
Beguiristain added: "He did well for Barcelona but in the current side we have players who offer more. We are well covered in every type forward.
"He won't get the chance to play here and at his age he should be playing.
"We are in contact with a number of clubs to find the best deal for the club and the player."
