According to some reports in which i believe but can't name the source, we are going to have a major signing and a major investment by saturday. Do you think it will be Steve Morgan for the investment ???

I hope that's true or else the person who told me so will have a hard time as from Saturday.

Well, there are some more interesting "nailed on facts" today.

1. kewell and baros leaving liverpool in exchange deal for aimar and the beast they call joaquim sanchez. my father is rick parry's personal assistant (not my father...I copied this from somehwhere...my Dad is no-one's assistant)

2.  There are still 3 more signings to be unveiled by Liverpool by next Wednesday. They should be 1 Spanish Defender, 1 Spanish Winger and 1 Forward over the age of 23 playing in a foreign league. However, Liverpool are also bidding for 1 English player over 24, 1 Brazilian and 1 Argentinian.  (nice and detailed that one)

3.  Now that Gerrards staying Liverpool will now continue with their transfer activity and will sign Downing 6 mil + Diao, Defoe 10 mil and Kompany 5 mil.

4.  gerrard staying at anfield! coming in are ballack, aimar, ibanez, owen and figo, goin out are warnock (shef utd), baros (valencia)this is all my dad will tell me as he is the club doctor for liverpool and everton

5. figo is in liverpool and will complete deal on friday as will ibanez

6. Electric winger Joaqúin will sign for the merseyside club next week as he sees Benitez as the man to help him progress his footballing carear. Also there is a possiblity of Essien also arriving as a proposed deal of money + Baros appeals to Gerrard Houlier. Also expect to see a world-class striker to challenge Císse for his place in the team. Possible targets include Giliardinho and Raúl.

7. Gerrard to stay, SWP to Liverpool for 17 mil + Diao and josemi. lukas podolki for 5.7mil and milito and aimar coming for a combined 14mil

8.  Liverpool to have afternoon press conference on Friday for Steven Gerrard signing a new four year deal, plus the unveiling of two or three players, thought to be Aimar, Milito and either Joaquin or Wright-Phillips.

Pick the bones out of that lot then.

Most will of course be total @rse...but some consistent themes in there.

SWP - bring it on!  :buttrock :;):

Jesus what's it like up there in cloud cuckoo land? i've heard it's good. :D  . It's nice to see that after giving Stevie a £5m a year contract we can go out and spend another £80m on players.

Would be nice though to have just one of those players but i expect the new arrivals won't be such household names as those.

Perhaps those will be unveiled on Friday after SG signs his contract??

Now that would be a good press conference...maybe Carra will have signed by then as well.

The Marca sports daily said Figo is poised to join European champions Liverpool.

Real Madrid's Portugal forward Luis Figo is poised to join European champions Liverpool.

Real were reported to have accepted a 3 million euro (2 million pound) bid from the English Premiership side, the Marca sports daily said Thursday.

Figo, 32, was on the bench for Real's last eight league matches.

He cost Real a then-world record 56 million euros (37 million pounds) when he moved from Barcelona five years ago.

Not sure about Figo no doubt he is a quality player but think we should be looking for younger players, also his wages would have to be cut

Reuters are alo saying this.  I think this has got a bit of weight to it actually.  £2 million?  Sounds about fair to me.  Not a major dent in the funds is it?

As I have said elsewhere The Liverpool Way and RAWK are saying we have signed Crouch for £6.5 million.

Anyone else heard anything about our manager who last night was spotted walking into a restaurant in Liverpool with an ex-forward of ours currently employed in Spain?

Make of that what you want.
