i dont really think that Stevie is after more money DWARD but it's just other factors playing an important role(might be agents or did not agree on other terms other than money).

The guy is a dieheart liverpool fan but i don't think it's money causing the trouble or else he would have left for Chelsea last season.

I want this to be resolved peacefully and on a high note.  If SG does go to another team, he wont love the team like he does lfc and fans wont love him back like we do.  So Im hoping he stays, but the situation is far too complicated.

Like Fernando Morientes > 19 said, factors other than money is complicating this situation far too much.

There must be something we still haven't heard as Carra is getting a 20k payrise and that came out pretty much the day after talks begun yet we heard nothing about gerrard apart from they were constructive then all of a sudden he want to move apparently!!!!!!!!! i think sfx are looking for a big cash windfall out of this

According to SkySport.Com, Josemi is the target of Spanish side Villareal.

Do you think we should let him go ?

Yeah if we can get the money back we paid for him!! Might be a bit of a gamble but i think he was just brought in to steady us up last season!! The season finnan had could mean he wont play much but if josemi is happy playing a bit part then i might be tempted to keep him!!

we can all dream! theres got to be a centre back in there, hopefully milito (he looked ok in the confederations cup) a striker, probably kuijt i think and then a possible playmaker. idealy aimar but thats wishful thinking. but selfish stevie cup go and ruin rafas plans if he goes and rafa has to go on the market for a powerhous emidfielder. asong as we have xabi its all ok.

I am really torn over what is happening - have watched the champions league final everyday but today it just don't feel the same    :(      on one hand you have got one of the best midfielders in the world and the other the best manager - just think of all the players that Benitez has improved over the years  -  look at Carra!!!   imagine what he could do with 40 mil buy 4 potential world beaters maybe more - its so obvious that Stevie G is being pulled in every direction by people with only £ signs in front of their eyes

Make your own decision lad it will stay with you forever if your wrong

Yes, you must go with your heart stevie.  Shrug off the $ signs from everywhere and stay.  We will all love you and respect you even more if you stay despite people complicating matters all over the place.

Fernando Morientes > 19 < wrote:Joaquin IMO

as i have said a number of times today in other theads, Joaquin is not coming here.

Betis have said they will only accept an offer close to his buy out clause, which is 40 million pounds.

Only Chlesea are gonna pay 40 million for a right winger.

Real Betis claim to have turned down a number of bids for their coveted winger Joaquin.

The 23-year-old Spain international has been linked with moves to both Chelsea and Real Madrid, however Betis are determined to keep him in Seville.

Joaquin inspired the club to Spanish cup glory last season, and Betis also qualified for the Champions League.

Club president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera confirmed offers have been received but would not reveal who made them.

Joaquin is thought to have a clause in his contract allowing him to depart if any club offers a fee thought to be in the region of £40million.

Ruiz de Lopera told Spanish newspaper Marca: "Things are not calm. It is just that we are not commenting on the offers that we are receiving.

"Why should we if Joaquin is happy?

"The offers that we have been receiving are not like those that other clubs get for their players. But we will only begin to contemplate an offer if it is close to the buy-out clause."
