Liverpool have today been linked with a possible move for Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman.
Reports originating from Spain claim that boss Rafael Benitez has been offered the opportunity to sign the former PSV Eindhoven hitman for a bargain £3.5million. Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the player so we're not sure if the link is genuine or not. It's likely that Rafa has been offered Kezman but whether or not the boss is considering a bid we simply do not know at this time.
Former boss Gerard Houllier tracked Kezman for some time and had it not been for Chelsea's sudden cash injection when Abramovich arrived on the scene, he would have probably ended up at Anfield.
Kezman is an absolutely awesome striker who during his PSV days reminded us of a young Robbie Fowler. However since moving to Chelsea he simply lost his form and never delivered which is no surprise because of the rotation system used by Mourinho as he tries to keep everyone happy.
At £3.5million Kezman would certainly be worth a gamble because under the right manager we're confident he would refind his touch. Anyway, we don't know if Rafa is interested but we'll add it to the hat regardless and see what happens.
