i heard the funniest one yesterday...you know you get all the old rumours like "my mates dad's brother's mates nephew walks gerrards dog and ive heard..." nonsense, well some lad i know said his cousin works at anfield (common one that) and aparently we're close to agreeing a fee with everton for "super" kevin kilbane! :laugh:

i mean it wouldnt be so unbelieveable if HE WAS ANY GOOD!!! :laugh:

No matter guti,reina,ibanez,kuyt or any other else....I just want to see some new face at Anfield from now being. Is it hard to get all those transfer rumours done since we are already the CL champion?

He is quality this fella though but not sure he would be a big hit for us.
Reports in Italy have suggested that Liverpool and Arsenal are looking to sign Milan striker Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Milan and The Reds fought out an amazing UEFA Champions League final just a month ago, but could now be ready to talk over a proposed transfer.

Carlo Ancelotti could be ready to let the Danish marksman leave San Siro, especially if he concludes his move for Hernan Crespo.

Italian media sources have quoted a sum of around €10 million as the price Milan would look to receive for Tomasson.

Reds boss Rafa Benitez has not yet shown his hand in the transfer market, but he knows he has to strengthen quickly with the defence of their European crown starting in mid-July.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could rival Liverpool for Tomasson's signature, however, with the Frenchman looking for more quality attacking options - especially with proven Champions League ability.

wouldnt want Tomasson, hes tried the prem once and couldnt hack it. should try younger more versatile players like Kuyt

I just think nothing much will happen until everyone gets back from holiday so Liverpool can look where it stands with regards to gerrard, baros and Diao, Cheyrou etc.
Cause every clubs seems to hold Liverpool to ransom demanding huge fees and I think there might be less to spend than we believe esp. with no players sold.

We've released quite a few players which lowers the money we spend on wages. We've sold Diouf which gives us a measly 3.5-4 million, small amount but still money made.

Then you have the money available for the transfer market. Now we've earned plenty of money from the CL (tv revenue,tickets, and whatever the hell there is out there to earn from the CL)

We should have the same amount to spend like we did last season, if not than more than what we had to spend last year because we've won the CL.

The chairman has given Benitez a fair amount of money to strengthen the squad, now you can't do that with a small amount of money that includes the 20 million people think we have to spend, which is a low amount. Especially when Wigan have 20 million to spend this summer and we're the 10th richest club in the world.
