Baros vents frustration - From sky sports

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Liverpool striker Milan Baros has revealed his frustration at his current situation at Anfield.

The Czech Republic star has endured a mixed season form-wise and he has struggled to establish himself as first choice striker under Benitez.

With Djibril Cisse returning to the squad in recent weeks Baros has found himself substituted for the Frenchman in a number of games and the Czech is not happy with the situation.

Baros denied any talk of a bust-up with Benitez, but admitted he is frustrated at being constantly substituted.

"It's not true that I had or have had disputes with Benitez," Baros told Pravo.

"But I am annoyed when I'm fit and I only warm the bench. Or when Benitez takes me off during a game even if I haven't used up all my energy on the pitch.

"I need to play, only then will I be better than I am now.

"This effects my scoring statistics in the international team. I don't score many goals."

A number of clubs including Valencia and Fiorentina are waiting in the wings to sign Baros and the 23-year-old admitted he knows some clubs have made offers for his services.

"But I haven't said I'm going to leave Liverpool. I have some offers, but this is my agent Pavel Paska's job.

"If I leave The Reds I would like to play in a team which would be at least at the same level as Liverpool in regard to playing in European competitions.

"And I would like to play there constantly."

Some reports have claimed that Liverpool's city rivals Everton could be interested in Baros, but the striker refused to divulge on the link.

"No comment, speculations are good for nothing," said Baros of the Everton rumours.

"This question will be answered at the end of the season. Then we will deal with it with my agent.

"Of course it would be much better to speak about offers with a (UEFA) Champions League medal."

He's only interested in winning a CL medal to get better offers, what a bell3nd!!  :veryangry

Doesn't really endear himself to the club with interviews like that does he?  I suspect he'll be one of those playing his last league game for the club on Sunday.

Sounds like he is off!!  Wouldn't cause us too many problems if he went, as long as we had some sort of replacement.  Cisse is starting to look pretty match fit now, and hopefully will start scoring soon... prefereably a hattrick in the champions league final
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Sorry, but how many games you have started, and not done anything? Heaps, there's not much consistancy to his game, and he is a bit of a hog, keeps the ball to himself. See ya in the summer, hopes he goes to Italy and try and forge a career there, see how well you'll do.

For f*ck sake. Why do players always have to moan when they are playing a little less, huh ??
It's so annoying. If he doesn't like his role in the team - good ridance, just not to fEuVcEkRiTnOgN

Could well be tara in the summer

I do like the guy but at the same time it wouldnt upset me to see him go, but wouldnt to see him stay either but if he's not happy with rotation then to be realistic this might not be the place for him.

His form although he has soldiered on alone magnificently through periods of the season has not been great, especially after the expectation of the European championships.

Rafa should just start Cisse and not include Baros in the squad for the final so if we do win he won't get a medal :p :D

can't believe this guy. could anyone be more self-centred? If you are fit you warm the bench for a reason, if you are play less than a game, you are substituted for a reason. Affects your stats in the national team, stop missing sitters. sometimes answers are amazingly simple. :glare:

If he was scoring when he plays he wouldnt be subbed would he? Garcia playing as a midfielder has the same amount of goals than our so called golden boot :O

unbelievable.

milan, why do you think you're getting constantly substituted?

BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT DOING THE BUSINESS, THAT'S WHY.

i'm sorry, but the guy is going to be off in the summer. i've supported him through thick and thin (mainly because we had heskey) but this season has proved that he just doesn't cut it. :(

i cant see baros being here next season. He's lost his confidence and is playin sh1t. he isn't happy at the club. And rafa only needs 2 strikers as he usually plays with 1 up front and a midfielder playing of him.
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

If Rafa only wants one striker then he'll obviously go. I felt sorry for the guy when Heskey was ahead of him, what an insult but his finishing has been poor this year.

He does try hard though and always seems to cause problems unlike Morientes who seems to sleepwalk through many games (Palace springs to mind)

it seems obvious to me that in the long term rafa wants to play a 4-2-3-1 system. it also appears to me that he wants morientes playing just behind a lone striker, be it cisse or anybody else. baros has never been suited to this role and never will be. i still say he'll be off in the summer.
