English newspapers are totally unbelievable. They will invent any story to earn a few bucks. I can't see why you even bother.

@rsene w@nker can go and wallow in his sorry plight for all i care.

three reasons he is coming up with this ******:
1. he is just plain jealous - he simply can't get it right in europe. after how many seasons of sorry continental displays monsieur?
2. he is just plain jealous - facing a possible silverware-less season
3. he is just plain jealous - there has been so much positive news around anfield - about the victory over juve, chelsea, the players, the team, the fans and of course king rafa. well, he felt left out and needs a some limelight on his scrawny @rse.

if he feels that cl should only be for the 'best' teams justified by league position, well let chelsea through as the epl champs. @rsenal, mancs and neverton can join us in uefa cup. we wouldn't mind dumping those goons out by quarter-finals too.  :wwww

When Arsenal win their FIRST European Cup, then maybe people will listen to them regarding whether Liverpool FC, the FOUR-TIME European Champions should be in the final or not.

Until then Arsenal, please shut the f*ck up.

Basically, Arsenal is on their way down. The reason why Wenger said this is because nobody cares about Arsenal this year and everyone seems to talk about Chelsea and LFC only. He is just bragging for attention. Poor Wenger. I'm sure we will beat them this week and show them how they don't even deserve in the top4 because they will be beaten by a team who is currently 5th. But again, Arsenal may be beaten by the 4th team after this weekend.  :D

He is just jealous, ok we might not be the second best team in europe right now, but we deserve to be where we are. The teams we have beat this year have consisted of, two of the teams from the last two CL finals (monaco/juve), 2 of last years semi-finalists (chelsea/deportivo) oh yea lets not forget 'the best' team in england (2005 PL winners) THIS season too(chelski obviously!!)

And he is just p*i*s*s*e*d cause he went out to Bayern who didnt even get out of the first group stages(as it was two grp stages last year), who then lost to celsea, who then went on to lose to US.

EDIT-SORRY JUST WNTD TO ADD didnt Bayer Leverkusen reach the final the year we lost to them in the quarters.  So thats amother RECENT prevoius finalist that we have beat in the CL this season, haha the more i think about it, we have had a massive CL campaign and we actually deserve it, considering personnel ay disposal and injuries

RAFA RAFA
So feck off wenger...........u look like a nerd anyway

says monsieur righteous...

"The championship has to be our absolute priority as you cannot make the Champions League as the priority," he insisted.

"Why would we change our style? Liverpool were one minute away from going out (before Steven Gerrard's winner against Olympiakos) and who knows if the ball was in or not against Chelsea?
...

"The Champions League has now completely become a cup competition (without a second group stage)," added Wenger, whose side face holders United in the FA Cup final on May 21.

"Everybody can win it. Last year you had Porto and Monaco. Every year you will have two different teams in the final because it is so open.

+++++

what he said tickles me, especially when he quipped that "EVERYBODY CAN WIN IT". ya the "likes" of porto and liverpool can win it, but the  likes of arsenal just can't get a sniff of it!

valiant attempt to cover his tactical short-comings, declaring "why would we change our style?" well... he won't because he doesn't know how! :D

its simple, w@nker hates european stages because he is clueless when he comes to it. i think all he had was a sniff at UEFA cup in 1999-00 season which we won a year after in our treble season. champions league? its too big a stage for @RSEne's @RSEnal to rise up to.

If I recall correctly, the expanded format of the CL as it is today was a result of bowing to the threat of a break-away super league from the so-called elite teams like the Milans (both Inter and AC), Juve, Bayern, Barca, Real Madrid, Mancs and also Arsenal so that the respective league champions and the other 'glamour' teams who did not quite finish as league champions get to compete in a hyped-up club tournament which promises much more riches to all of the participants.

To some extent the competition has been devalued by the inclusion of non-Champions but all the while the other non-Champions have accepted the competition format because it is so lucrative. This includes Arsenal, who have also competed in the past an non-Champions and will still do so in the next season as a non-Champion of England. What is he ranting on about, then?

Is it the fact that Arsenal and himself has been found so wanting at this stage? They play beautiful football most of the time - this is a fact - but they have failed miserably even against modest opposition. Wenger should thank his lucky stars that Arsenal did not have to face Barcelona or AC Milan in the knock-out stage because Arsenal and their weak defence would be in for a gigantic whopping which would really highlight the real weakness of Arsenal - over reliance on the left sided attacking play and particular one Theiry Henry, very weak defence and mostly, tactical shortcomings as they have no other alternative to effective playing other than through Henry.

Teams like Liverpool and Chelsea have displayed the ability to have alternative style of play depending on the opposition to get the necessary results. This is what it takes to excel in Europe and he should pipe down and start to concentrate on improving Arsenal's playing style in Europe.

If a non-league champion entrant progressing all the way to the final is deemed unworthy by Wenger, perhaps he should stick to his principles and pull Arsenal out of the CL next season.

Wegner is a sour grape b*@stard...he is jealous because our successful run has pile more pressure of his incredible f*uck-up year-after-year. We have won 4 cups when we were league champion, what have he or Arsenal got?

As champion of EPL, what have he achieved in Europe? He won't mind when he qualified this year in 2nd place or would he rather play in UEFA Cup?

Nevermind...this means we are doing something right when the likes of Wegner is uttering sh*te like this. Next season, I can see Arsenal scrapping out for the 4th qualifying slots with the likes of Everton, Bolton and Boro...enjoy the 2nd place while you can ARSEne and ARSEnal...the Reds are coming to get ya

And Arsenal is basically a one man team. Statistics suggests that they score 3+ goals per game when Henry is in the lineup while they only score 1 goal per game when Henry is out of the lineup. Enough Said. He would not be playing against us on Sunday and hope he is available for selection on Wednesday against the bitters.

ok give @rse w@nger the credit for finding the right mix and formula for playing in EPL. he produced some results since 1996. but if he is not flexible enough to adapt to counter other styles of play, he is at most a good manager. give rafa some time to find that formula to work in EPL, he will challenge for the domestic league and beyond, he has that extra dimension.
