Impossible is simply nothing

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby LFCFan4Life » Wed Mar 09, 2005 10:52 pm

Tonight's game shows to the media, to our certain doubting fans, and to the football world that nothing in football is impossible.

Even despite our poor away record and Bayer's great home record we gave the Champions League yet another night to remember. Another magical night in the Champions League thanks to Liverpool FC, we need the Champions League and the Champions League needs us.

A lot can happen both in the Champions League and in the Premier League which means that fourth place is not unreachable, the same can be said for reaching the CL final. It's not over yet.

We needed this victory extremely much after poor form in the EPL, I had a feeling that we were going to win however I did not expect us to win it this easily.

To Rafa, the players, our fans and the kind Leverkusen fans:

yup AB, if we play like we did tonight then we're capable of beating ANYONE

remember last year's CL final, hardly the bookies' favourites there was it? Why shouldn't we go all the way? It'll be a hell of an achievement but why not?

They of course also sang it during the Milan derby after Hillsborough to show their respect.

I didn't know that, hats off to them

Leverkusen's fans were good tonight, despite watching their team get totally outclassed they carried on singing right til the end

Couldn't tell for definite on the tv but it also sounded like they joined in the applause at the end of YNWA

If we can keep our remaining fit players injury free then we could reach the final if we get a decent draw in the next round.

If one of the centre backs or baros gets injured then we are totally screwed though as we simply don't have the cover
