What did you expect this season?

If we finish 4th I say give him more time but anything below 4th is a step down.
And realistically the way we are playing this season I cant see us getting that final Champions League spot, we could even finish below Everton! ???

Some of the d1cks will jump on the bandwagon now but before you do think eh?

I have no hesitation in saying that I am frequently impressed by some members of this forums (particularly Roerts) computer dexterity. Alas, in football terms his knowledge is at best negligable, at worst none existant. The worst part about it? that he will dispute my findings and so confirm them to be true.

We can go over and over it all night, but the fact is because I am not singing the praises of a underachieving team you are labelling me a fool. Now thats puzzling

Au contraire monsieur Roberts, we cannot go over them allnight. Yourself and mister Lakes have established your position as anti-Rafa. When we lose, I fully expect to see you spouting off in a sickenening ritual " I told you so " session. When we win, you can take it as red that those of us with half a brain are going to ridicule your stance. Your stance deserves to be ridiculed. It is silly.

i have to admit that he has a point, i dont think its his point that upsets people, just the way he makes his point. yes weve had injuries, but we have also failed to perform so many times this season, and as roberts says "look at the league table".

are you all happy with the league table? forget about 4th place, look how far we are behind the leaders. are we all happy with that? i know im not.

i will never stop supporting LFC no matter how bad it gets buts lets all take off the famous rose tinted spactacles and admit that we are doing a bad job, whether its the board, the manager or the players, something is not right (dont blame injuries, they are no excuse for lack of effort).

i hope it gets better and we get some consistency soon. lets be honest now, if it wasnt for our fantastic history we would just be another spurs or villa happy with being mid table. because we have that history we expect more and we want more, although we have no right to win things.

whatever you think of Roberts, he has a point (apart form sack rafa). i went to my first game in 1973 before most of you were even born and even i am frustrated. i hate to say this and i may get criticsm for this, but its not a sleight on anyone, but the heart was ripped out of our club after Hillsborough, thats when we went into decline, i dont know, maybe im wrong.

we all want the good times back, lets hope they come back soon

To be honest I think it was Hysel.  During the period we were banned from the European Cup, we had the strongest side, in my mind, in Europe.  We could have one it during that time.  Think of the money we missed out on.

Added to that was Souness.  Before everyone jumps on me, I'm not criticising him per se [except for his S*N story selling bit].  He had some good ideas from his days in Italy, to bring the club into the new era of football.  But he tried to do it too quickly - the bootroom mentality was still strong.  Which brought resentment.

you want rafa out?
there are no quick fixes in footy, washing powder gives you instant results not managers.
i think the man is the real deal.

Roberts, perhaps you should change your username to "Moron of the year"? Honestly you are so thick!!

Rafa has done EXTREMELY well considering the INCREDIBLE amount of injuries his squad has suffered.

He hasn't had the full squad at his disposition not once since the season started....

The squad is still full of the mediocre RUBBISH that Houillier purchased during his long term reign here at Liverpool....And though Nunez was a bad purchase, he only came as part of the Michael Owen package....

Benitez isn't a Mickey Mouse manager, he deserves GREAT respect....

In his 3 years at Valencia, he won the Primera Liga twice, with the first being in his first season in charge….The first time Valencia had won it in 31 years!! AMAZING...

In his last year as Valencia coach, a UEFA cup and Primera Liga double!!....

Winning the Primera Liga twice within 3 years is extremely IMPRESSIVE considering the might of Real Madrid and Barcelona....not forgetting to mention that the Spanish league was the strongest league in Europe from the year 1999 - 2003....

Lets also not forget that Rafa achieved all of this with VERY limited funds and resources at Valencia….He was never fully backed by the Valencia board as he never really got on well with them…..

When the team eventually becomes what he wants it to be, Liverpool will start rolling and winning major trophies, believe me....

No manager in the world has a magic wand....no manager in the world can guarantee success....And we do not have the money at our disposition as Chelsea do....Rafa needs time, so judge him at the end of season 2005 - 2006....

What we have in Benitez is one of the BEST coaches in Europe....

Geez, if other clubs had your attitude Roberts 99% of clubs around the world would be sacking their managers every 3 months....

Stop being pathetic Roberts and show Rafa the respect he deserves…..Either that, or go and support another team….

The trash you spout out isn't just annoying, it's unintelligent and stupid....

CHEERS!! : )

Roberts you need to support your arguements a bit better and stop resorting to the use of incredibly annoying photos.

You're stubborn and you simply can not debate or see things logically.

how much more logic do you want, as he says, look at the table. AB you need to realise that we are not good enough, thats a fact and however much we all come on here and blame everyone else, the fact is it is liverpool football club who are failing, from the board right through to the players. that includes rafa, and before you jump on my back think about burnley. (im not saying sack the manager).

peopel need to realise that the optimism of the fans (we should all be optimistic) does not mean the team will play better. lets just say it like it is and at the moment we are underacheving, however much you disagree with the way roberts chooses to write his posts, he does have a point. WE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT THE MOMENT so lets stop pretending we are
