Another "d" in midfield? - Boupa Diop

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Boupa Diop - or something like that.
Midfield possibilities -  We have tried Diouf and Diou - maybe Houllier got confused and intended to sign Dioup (however you speel it). Unlike the others I rate him.
Another name for the pot - while on the topic of midfield / wide players why dont we try for Simon Davies at Tottenham - he is a very good player and still quite young. Because he is presently out of the side he may be available at a cheapish price and he will fit into the Rafa team ethic.
And finally, I still think Cheyrou was the best of the French imports - so why is he staying on loan while we bring back Le Tallec. :p

Well someone on here posted that the window closes after tomorrow. Assuming thats right (and it sounds fair enough) there is bound to be a minor scramble where behind the scenes brinkmanship between sellers/buyers/agents is concluded one way or the other. i think it unlikely that either of your targets will be arriving tomorrow, though neither is a bad shout in my view. FWIW I think Diop is a good player and will develop into one of the best midfielders in the Prem if he carries on like he is. Davis too is a good player, workmanlike 100%er but alas injury prone and thats the last thing we need right now.
It's all about opinions of course and on the question of Cheyrou I thought he was absolutely sh!te to be perfectly honest. Wouldn't pay him in bottle tops. Of our rejects, it's interesting to note that only Diarra seems to be holding his own (I don't care about nor count Diouf) which would suggest that they were as they appeared, that is to say c rap.

in my opinion we should keep biscan for another season to see if he could be a worthy successor of hamann... then we can save some $ for improvements in other areas  :)

I saw highlights of the Marseilles game this weekend. They won 3-1 away and moved into 4th in the French league - Cheyrou played, and played well. We leave him on loan. We bring back Le Tallec who could not get into a mid table French team. Why? :blues:

La Tallec was injured for six weeks and after recovering he could not make an impact. Cheyrou is garbage.
