This is what he said today.

The World Cup winner was close to joining Manchester United 18 months ago but the Stamford Bridge club - who will take on Barca in the Champions League in February - are now the attractive proposition to Ronaldinho.

"Any great player would want to be part of such a sensational team.

"My brother, who is also my agent, has spoken to me about Chelsea many times.

"I had a chance to move to them before I came to Barcelona but at that time, even though they offered more money, I was not interested.

"But I have seen since then that Chelsea have a great infrastructure.

"What they are doing is absolutely amazing and it is a place where great things are going to happen in the future.

"I respect them a lot and I can maybe see myself living in London one day."

Ronaldinho added: "I am happy in Barcelona but I cannot rule out playing in another country in the future.

"I would love to play in England to prove that technical players can succeed there."

the chelsea thing can't go on like that. players, especially top players, want to play every game. a team cannot possibly have 2 or 3 top, and i mean top, players in every position - they won't go there if they don't think they'll get regular football, whatever the money.

besides, i'm still waiting for abramovich to get nailed on these charges coming from russia. they've created a completely distorted situation with that investment and i seriously believe its unsustainable, they can't keep sucking in all the top players. let them spend 40 million on some other superstar, let them become a bunch of self-important non-performers like real madrid. who gives a flying f*ck when we got a player of outstanding class like alonso for a fraction of what chelski pay for anyone.

i hate chelski for what they're doing to the whole business of football in england, but i don't fear them because it can only implode one day.

i know, it will come to an end and you want get another abramovich to come in and save them cos nobody has that kind of money. he'll leave once he wins the league
