Mourinho and fergie - Hammer & tongs

The Premiership - General Discussion

Makes me laugh this Mourinho character. Gotta give it to the bloke, just when people will have been telling him "don't get involved with Ferguson, he's a master of mind-games" he goes steaming in and talks a lot of sense about whisky-conk harassing referees.
Fergusons got drawn in and now it's a soap-opera, full-on. Just seen Mourinho on SKY news and the guy is funny you've got to give him that. He loves it. His point is that regardless of who you are or who you manage you shouldn't be able to shout in a referees face at half-time. He is right of course and he insists that sinse he's been over here he hasn't once even spoken to a ref at the interval.
Hopefully, Fergie takes his eyes off the ball while getting involved. I wonder how long it will be before he loses his unfounded "master of mind games" tag. With Wenger, Mourinho and Rafa he is way out of his depth.

it's funny bigmick. fergie has finally met his match. i love this quote mourinho made:

"Maybe when I turn 60... I'll have the power to speak to people and make them tremble a bit" [on Alex Ferguson] :D

Raffa the Gaffa seems to rise above all of this, even after the chelsea incident he kept his cool and didnt lose it which i think says a lot about the man.

As for the rest of them lets hope they keep at each others throats and take points of each other, but i think fergie has met his match

i can't believe it but i am beginning to develop a grudging respect for old jose. i've always respected him as a manager, how can you not - but his personality is growing on me. the way he is winding up ferguson is so clever he makes wenger look like an idiot (which in fact he is).

but i suppose when chelsea get handed the prem trophy at the end of the season his arrogance will become absolutely unbearable.

i'm so glad we have a no nonsense gaffer who just gets on with the job in hand.

It's funny.... Fergie can't get on with anyone! Once it was Wenger, now Mourinho..... does he get on with his family? - probably not, grumpy old tw@t.

I think the knighthood has gone to his head, he thinks he can sh]t on people.  But then again, when he can get away with it......

Wenger an idiot? don't think so, wish he'd come here in 1997 then we'd have Henry and co, leagues etc.

I never got the Ferguson "mind games genius" tag - I mean he out smarted Keegan but who couldn't do that. Name another manager he has trumped?

Mourinho makes me laugh but when he gets a few trophies he'll be agony for us.

It seems to be LFC policy to get a quiet manager (lunatic that Souness is aside)

i think wenger flatters to deceive a lot of the time. he's an excellent spotter of talent, i'll give him that, but i don't think he's a particularly fine tactician. he knows he has the players to change games but i don't think he has the capacity to change the players, if you get what i mean. players like henry and pires and cole have improved massively over time but i think they would have anyway.

his endless comments about not seeing incidents on the pitch that involve his players but having eagle eyes when someone gives on of his so much as a tap just makes him look foolish.

basically i don't like the guy. maybe it clouds my judgement.

At the end of the match, Mourinho was smiling at our players, shaking their hands, patting their backs and being really friendly...

Then he just comes out with all that!

That says a lot about him...
