Was that good enough for you - Stevis g

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

was tonights performance good enough for you? i know stevie g is one of the best midfielders in the world, but we seem to play more as a team when he does'nt play, i feel alonso is far more effective, and the team as far more balance.when stevie plays, everything as to go through him, when he does'nt have a good game neither do liverpool.he did'nt play well tonight, but then again the game did'nt go to plan.if the injuries had not occured,i think stevie would have been subbed and alonso sent on,if that had of been the case it might of been a different result.if we dont progress into the last sixteen,i have the feeling stevie will be sacrficed in the transfer window.would it be worth it in order to give benitez the funds to bring in some world class players, that we really need to make the next step up ?

I did not expect Gerrard to be at his best form as he has recovered from a tough injury. It will take more than two games before he gets back to his form.

Towards the end of the game Stevie G did get into the game a bit. We'll have to give him a few games to get back to normal anyway.

no the performance was ****** but the answer is not to sell our best players.the answer is to fukkin stick together and get behind the team more than ever and not to look for knee jerk reactions.

Selling Gerrard[hard to admit] would be good business for the club.

We now need two strikers, one or two defenders, and a good winger. With the current situation we are in we can not afford all that due to Houllier's shopping spree over the years, but if Gerrard want's to leave let him leave in January.

A month ago I wouldn't be saying this but the strongest survive and the weak perish. But even so the problem now is not injuries, its lack of individual and team effort. Once again I bring up playing with "heart". We need to watch tapes of Palace and Bromich games against Arsenal, we might learn a few things.

This is a team game and we are expected to play as a unit.

I agree AB.

I'm going to give Stevie the benefit of the doubt for the moment, but now is the time that player's true colours are showing. Kewell has already shown his hand, and unless he does something dramatic over the next few weeks, not one Liverpool fan will shed a tear should he leave.

Getting rid of him could be an even bigger problem, though.

Not if you sell him to a club in a third world country.

judas!!!!!!!. have you ever been to anfield, igor. i find your re mark extremely insulting. i am simply asking a valid question. i feel that is well out of order from someone who the closest he's got to anfield is the television screen.    :p  :p  :p
