Looks a good fit for what we think will be Iraola's style of play. He can play either side which helps (he's even done a CM role )
Getting business dealt with and p!ssing off the Barcodes too... great work everyone!

Looks a good signing, very quick and direct, if we could add that Diomande we really would be motoring then.
Pity we let Ben Doak go, he looked very impressive for the Scots.

Yakka unfortunately I seem to remember us all saying something similar last summer when we were chasing after Wirtz and Izak !!

As for the 19 year old Diomande, one decent season with RB Leipzig who paid the €20m release clause for him in July 2025, is he really the answer?  It has been suggested that LIVERPOOL will probably have to pay somewhere in the region of €130m to get the deal done. That seems an absolutely crazy amount of money considering he’s been playing in a league that is a far cry from the premiership. Watched him for about 20 minutes in last night’s World Cup match and I fully accept that he looks reasonable but surely there  has got to be better and more well proven options than a kid for €130m. I’m surprised that FSG are prepared to go anywhere near this. Let’s face it we give him a five year contract and he’ll be 24 at the end of it and then Real Madrid comes sniffing around when he’s on a free !! :no
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 21/22 to 25/26  (10 years
are in brackets 16/17 to 25/26 )
LFC €490m (€650m)
Everton +€15m (€290m)
Arsenal €770m (€1107m)
Spurs €665m (€892m)
Chelsea €740m (€1045m)
Man City €460m (€1095m)
Man United €780m (€1340m)

Picture the 2019 CL winning team. With all the money we've spent we haven't improved the team one iota.

The top 6 sides spend fortunes hoping to find a replacement equal to the person they're replacing. One in, one out, sponsorship money in, players out, small annual profit, club value rockets.

Forbes now value LFC at £4.6B (calculated May 2026) however the quality of our football has actually declined. 'It's a funny old game Saint.'
