I think he has been ***** so far in the league tbh. Fully expect him to improve as early days but needs to u the intensity and show a bit of fire.

With him, the fee we paid wasn't for the finished article but what he can become and his bar is high but key is handling the intensity and physical fields of the game here

Watching Wirtz the last couple of seasons I was so excited by the signing. He is the Coutinho player we've been missing since he left. But he looks so weak for the league, and he looks shot of confidence. Hes not a LW but he doesnt look physically strong enough to play CAM neither.

I think trying to fit him in has caused the balance of the team to get messed up. I want him so badly to succeed, but I dont want it to cost us as a team.

He reminds me of the Naby Keita signing.

Salah is a passenger ATM, we'll be fine without him

Big question is, were we really missing Countinho? There's a reason Klopp opted to never sign a real replacement for him and Arne or whoever was responsible for the recruitment should have thought about that a bit more.

I think he looks a very talented player but doesn’t seem suited as a PL midfield three player. I think he needs to play out wide so he can get more space to run with the ball, he gets swarmed in midfield and doesn’t have the body to handle it. Not that Slot will play him there but why not replace Salah when he goes to AFCON.

Build the midfield and attack around this guy, he’s going to be a superstar.

The last 8 games hes looked outstanding!! He looks alot stronger aswell physically and can now shrug off players. He could really benefit from pace outwide to give him more options.. I think Gakpo and Salah haven't been giving him the runs he needs to provide goal scoring opportunities. And I'm still convinced Salah wasn't passing to him on a purpose..

He looks more dangerous when he roams into the middle, so we need to find a solution to that still.

I know it was just a friendly but he was amazing for Germany against Switzerland. We must be doing something wrong if we can't get him to perform like that with us.

He was interviewed and was talking about how little time he gets on the ball in the PL and how much more time he got in the Bundasliga or internationals. He was saying how he had to learn to play a lot quicker.

Germany actually play attacking football! Everytime he got on the ball he had attacking runners giving him all kinds of options. Its a shame hes not playing with a prime Salah, because them as a duo would tear the league apart.
