man city v LIVERPOOL Sun 9th Nov 4.30 pm

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby woof woof ! » Sun Nov 09, 2025 6:29 pm

Until City scored it looked like we came there not to lose.
After that we stepped up a bit but far from convincing .
For a team with such touted attacking talent we've been Sh*t

Luck going against us but you make your own luck in this game and we've been far too passive and negative, all our passing moves end up at our keepers feet, we are kicking the wrong way. The game is gone but lets at least put up a bit of a fight and go out on our shields.

We’ve been garbage.

Embarrassing performance and cowardly tactics.

Kerkez with a absolute terrible cross, countered on, and game over.

£450m for this $*i*e.

We’re now on +1 goal difference, which is on par with man f&£king Utd.

At this rate, we won’t even get top 4.

2 of their 3 goals had an element of luck about them but lets face it the best team won, we weren't at the races today. Perhaps most worrying was our body language, the players looked like they were going through the motions to me.

What sort of body language do you expect our players to have with that sort of refereeing yakka? What sort of body language would any of us have in this situation? It's hard enough to play at the Etihad against City in normal terms, your spirits are bound to go down when you're playing against the refs as well. The players are only human too.

Exactly.. it went from 1-1 to 2-0 in a matter of minutes. That realistically was game over. Kavanagh and Oliver are notorious Liverpool haters! We were up against 13 men today on Peps 1000th game, we had no chance.

The officials aren’t to blame.

That was one of the most gutless first halfs I’ve seen from us in years.

I mean the officials killed our momentum.. but yeah, we were gutless!! We have no steal or fight in midfield in these big games. Players like Gravenberch go missing when the going gets tough.. He didn't want the ball today.

That was unbelievably painful to watch. First half was a disgrace. After Bradley's executive midweek, he showed today he still has a lot to learn. Grav was anonymous. Macca very quiet. Mo did next to nothing. City were simply hungrier and more energetic. We on the other hand looked b0ll!xed from the off.
What's most worrying is the lack of impact the new signings are having, or else Slot doesn't know what to do with them. I still think Isak and the money spent on him was misspent. Our problems are at the back and CM.

That first half from us was abysmal. What irked me was there seemed to be a lack of energy, running and general getting in their faces. You need fight when you go away from home and we looked half arsed and we were just too easy to play against us.

We can have bad games but a lack of fight is something I dont expect from us.
