This will hurt palace more than us.

He’ll go on a free in 12 months or we’ll get him for half price in jan.

Don't know if true but heard Glasner threatened to quit if they sold Ghuehi.

"Guehi, captained Palace to their only ever trophy. Treated the club with nothing but respect. Played with 100% commitment for their 1st five games.

What do Palace do? Tell him he can go, get his hopes up, allow him to say some emotional goodbye's, send him off to Liverpool for a medical. And then humiliate him and end his dream move in the last hour.

So why should players "do it the right way."

I think we've dodged a potential bullet there, going for Guehi only ever made sense if Ibou was offski, with a World Cup coming up in the summer no way would Guehi, a current England regular, be happy to sit on the bench. England have a decent chance of winning the thing as well so Guehi would have just been tearing his hair out on the sidelines. He's already left one big club in search of regular first team football. I think we just would have had dressing room unrest i really do.
Ibou showed on Sunday why Madrid want him, after Dom he was probably our next best player, we don't need Guehi atm but we might need him in the summer depending on what Ibou decides to do.
We have the perfect back up in Joey G who is probably playing the best footy of his life atm, I wouldnt be afraid to throw this italian kid on either, i've been watching youtube video's of him and the lad is a beast, he's like Italy's version of Branthwaite at Everton. Team spirit has been one of our main strengths over recent years, it's been crucial to our success.

If Konate goes on a free we will be in a position to get Guéhi on a free next summer. Bit of a no brainer.

"Marc Guehi is extremely unhappy after being denied a move to Liverpool at the last minute yesterday & feels he behaved correctly by continuing to play before Palace pulled plug on a deal.

Understand that Guehi is planning to release a statement soon."

Amateur hour from Palace. They will have a very unhappy and influential player in their dressing room.

Imagine he’ll ditch being captain and will not hide his anger with his team mates.

Offer them £15m in January, they’ll probably snap our hand off.

I think we where willing to pay that now for Guehi rather than let his contract run out, because it might bring a few others into tge mix. He was sold on the deal but truth is with no transfer fee it will have to be redone again and others will surely enter the mix. Im hoping he just wants here and we go back in jan with an offer that gets the deal done. Hes a good player and would be a great replacement for Konate.

If I was Palace and I was going to only get 15m in January for him I’ll just let him run down his contract. Getting 15m is nothing really considering how he will help them in the second half of the season.

I agree, l will be surprised if we get Guehi in January. At this stage, we probably should have kept Tsimi and not signed Kerkez, spent the money on Guehi instead. Hindsight is always better though...
What does baffle me though is how other clubs seem to pick up a jewel or two and we seemingly don't or aren't even in the mix. Look at the lads Arsenal signed, Mozquera (sp?). Or that Troupi kid at Bournemouth. Or Baleba at Brighton. You could pick a half dozen others. How come with the extensive scouting network we allegedly have, we don't grab these lads first? Or we're not even in the mix....
