Welcome Milos, on paper we've got some cracking full backs now. Let's hope they could reach same heights Robbo/Trent did during peak.

Good signing, was my first choice for left back. Welcome to the club Milos.

The worst performer out of the new signings for me. Looks a bit lost tbh. Not saying he won't improve, he's basically played only friendlies till now (one glorified friendly today), but maybe Slot needs to take a page out of Klopp's book and allow a young lad like Kerkez to settle in for a few months before having him starting games regularly. I'd start the season with Robbo at LB.

Yup he does seem a bit off at the moment, good thing we didn't get rid of Robbo yet as he can step in when needed.

Feels like he’s struggle to cope with the enormity of the role.

Think he needs more time to adapt away from the first 11, because he’s a liability at the moment.

He seems so eager to impress and is too frantic. That defending for Newcastles 2nd goal was very amateurish, he needed to just jump with Bruno and make it as difficult as he could. He doesn't seem to have the licence to get forward as much as he did at Bournemouth and I think he'll be like Trent in terms of being better going forward than he is defending.

He's just a young lad getting used to a new environment, new teammates, new playing style etc. He's at a big club too and that's a big enough change. He will come good but doesn't need to be thrown into the starting line-up right away. I liked Klopp's way of easing players into the team and allowing them time to adjust. Slot should do the same with Kerkez and even Wirtz.

It is only 2 games but he has been a disappointment so far. Hopefully he improves over the season.

For me the jury's still out.
Early day's but will give the lad time to settle in, meanwhile injuries/fitness  aside not sure how he gets in ahead of Robbo

I thought he did better against Arsenal, showed grit and a refusal to be intimidated. When I watched him a couple of times last season he looked very quick, I’m surprised at how slow he looks now. Seems strange as players don’t become slower in a season unless injured and he wasn’t.

Yeah I noticed that too, he runs like I run in my dreams lol, don't know what's up with that. I also remeber he was quite pacy in Bournemouth.

Anyway, had a great game yesterday, at least defensively. Hope more of the same is coming in the future from him.

What has Robbo done to Slot ? Looks like Arne has frozen him out tbh as hes getting no minutes at all. Kerkhez imo isnt doing enough to justify starting every game. Its a big step up from Bournemouth and hes struggling at times with positioning and pace. Hes getting caught out a lot.

Personally I think we should be letting Robbo start the season off and phase kerkhez in with 20 minutes each game in the hope that he will be better integrated before the position becomes solely his. At the moment I feel Robbo would be the better option in terms of stability down that side. Diaz for all his weaknesses had pace and put in a shift up and down that line which Gakpo or Wirtz doesnt do. That has changed the dynamic on that side. Its similar on the right side with Salah who isnt getting back to help out. Someone from midfield has to cover him which teams exploit when the gap opens up. Constantly rotating RB to cover it up isnt working either.

We need that threat and stability back on the wings because thats what allowed us to open teams up time and time again.
