It's a shame we'll likely lose him in the summer and without even getting a cent for him. He might not be on the level of our main forwards like Eagle said but he's done his part more than once for us.

He's scored some big goals for us, historic goals in fact and he comes across as a genuinely nice lad but let's face it if led the line for us all season we wouldn't be finishing in the top 4. He just wouldn't score enough goals, he's not consistent enough. Great goal against WH though.

Was discussing with my brother last night that some folks want to erect a statue of Origi at the ground.

Phil Neal is our most successful player having won eight First Divisions titles, four League Cups, five FA Charity Shields, four European Cups, one UEFA Cup and one UEFA Super Cup during his eleven years at Liverpool yet there's no statue of him. Then he summed up the Origi effect saying 'It's not what you say, nor what you do but how you make people feel.'  Origi's big goals at the right time made people feel good. Shanks would understand that but I'm not sure he'd build a statue.

Pretty sure those shouts are tongue in cheek and no one is seriously suggesting we erect a statue of big Div. But he'll go down as a cult hero when he leaves and we'll have some great memories.

Think most people are saying it with a bit of a tongue in cheek. They probably don't really think he needs to have a statue but are saying it in order to emphasize how much he's loved by the crowd.

Origi is a Liverpool legend in my book but saying he deserves a statue and being serious about it is a bit of a stretch IMO.

Sure, it takes a special player to deserve a statue, Gerrard for example but certainly not Origi. To be fair, if this team manages the quadruple then the whole team deserves a statue, including the “transfer committee”.
