Maybe not the best choice but he has to start somewhere. Good luck to you, Captain.

WTF! I thought you said that Stevie G knows "***** all about anything"!?? In the Buvac thread..

I'm quoting you pal in another thread... Make your mind up!??
Your thus saying he is "doomed" by taking this Job, yes/no!??

Learning on the job at Rangers will be a major battle but he should be up for it.

Hope he lasts more than 6 months in the job.

Never been a rangers fan but I hope Strevie does well.

Could be a good place for some of our "starlets" to get some 1st team game time  on loan   :)

Some of the early footage of him meeting staff at Rangers is toe curling, maybe should have avoided cameras until hes built up a rapport with people.

Its a big step and it looks like it, I fear it may be a decision Gerrard regrets.

GOOd luck to him, tough job as the club don’t have as much money as Celtic.

Centre midfield leaders always get job offers but Bryan Robson, Souness, Roy Keane etc show it isn’t that easy.

We're in March and Rangers are unbeaten in both the league and in Europe. That's seriously impressive. They've bought a lot of players since Gerrard joined but they have improved each season in the league and his record in Europe has been strong since he joined. Sure there will be a few PL clubs looking at him for next season but he might fancy a season in the CL with Rangers.

He's certainly exceeded my expectations.

He’s done exceptionally well to break Celtic’s stranglehold on the title and to stop them getting 10 in a row but it’s hard to judge anyone’s managerial prowess by what they achieve north of the border. The likes of Graeme Souness, Walter Smith, Gordon Strachan, Martin O Neill etc etc all dominated up there.

Celtic only drew today so Rangers are now officially Champions. Congrats to Stevie. Can’t say I’m a huge fan of Rangers mainly because they are seen as a club who’s aligned with the conservative establishment in this country but I am genuinely happy for Gerrard.

I'm happy for him. I know it's only the scottish league but to win the title in your first managerial role is impressive. I remember a lot of people saying management came too early for him. Reckon he'll stay there one more season before taking a step up to the Prem (possibly abroad?). He's almost destined to manage us eventually...
