Boomsong - Rangers out of cl

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby madred » Thu Aug 26, 2004 12:44 pm

With all this talk of needing a new centre back, there was a man called Jean Alain Boumsong who was due to join us last season but instead opted to sign for Rangers so i'd just like to express my sympathies for him on not making it into the CL.
:D  :D  :D  :D

I too would like to express my sympathies.............Hold on what am I sying I laughed my head off.
But by all accounts back in Glasgow people have been waxing lyrical about how good this guy has been so far, and he has already stated if Mcliesh gets the sack then he is off already.Well worth a look.

Didn't he have some spat with GH and they both claimed it was the others fault he never joined Liverpool?
Good player though, I thought he was better than Mexes when I saw them play for Auxerre a few times.

"Who doesn't want to play for us?"

What about Heskey, he didn't really play football, he played "let's see how fast we can fall on our ******"!

Oh yeah Bowyer...could ne another of GH's inspired signing...

...NOT!  :D

and Boumsong...good though he may be, to me he is just a mercenary after choosing Rangers over us because they offered him more money.

Like Rafa said, I like players to be good, nice and cheap. So Boumsong should not be under consideration.

boum is a very special guy, there's nobody like him, he has mathematics and economic degrees and knows exactly what he does, he's too good for rangers but he wanted to plan his future very early, if he had waited he would have been in a bigger team, for sure

Just what you need from a centre half, pace, good in the air, great with numbers and a good grasp of supply and demand tactics.

He could have done well for us but any player that chooses rangers over us deserves to rot up there.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.
