Liverpool Football Club - Games

This will be an interesting one, with covid and injuries this will be tough.

Vardy going to be rubbing his hand at this opportunity.

Really unsure what will our line up be..

I just hope we keep it tight and somehow manage a win.

Fabinho joined the team session today so might be available. Ox has been doing gym work and kicking a ball around by himself but no sign of him in the team session. Klopp confirmed Trent and Henderson will miss out. Maybe something like this:

                           Alisson

Milner          Fab          Matip          Robertson

                              Gini
                Keita                Jones

  Jota                                           Mane
                            Firmino

I know yeah, granted he was on the receiving end of a really bad tackle from Richarlson but one minute he’s apparently back in training the next he’s seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth. The fella is top quality and we need to get him back ASAP. I even read somewhere that Salah was passed fit to play as well!
I’ve given up trying to guess what tomorrow’s team will be, I’m just hoping for a pleasant surprise.

Klopp did an interview with the official website yesterday talking about the Thiago situation. He's out running and kicking a ball by himself but hasn't returned to team training yet.

I think I'm right in saying that Salah's compulsory 10 day isolation period comes to an end tomorrow. So as soon as he returns a negative test he will be available.

Ox should hopefully be back in the squad within a few weeks.

So spurs beat City, this season will be an interesting one for sure. I don't think the winners will runaway like last season.

We could retain the title if we keep close to the top and maintain consistency.

I don't think Chelsea/Spurs will win I still feel it will be between us and City.

So it is crucial we snap 3 points and increase the gap between us and City.

Defence could be a massive problem so we may have to rely on all out attack. We still have plenty of quality capable of doing that. The team will be interesting.

Key thing right now is to keep up near the top. Doesn't matter who's gonna challenge for the title, main thing is to keep winning.

I think on paper they match up well against us ie a counterattacking side within real pace to get behind our high line, and Rodgers will want nothing more than beating us easily. They beat City easily and beat Leeds easily, both teams that play with a similar ethos to us. Most important thing is to control the midfield to starve Vardy of through balls and hopefully exploit their defensive injuries. We are tied 19th worst defense in the league having only one clean sheet. We will be disjointed with so many first teasers out. That said, we have enough to beat them as VAR has been kind to them and maybe their position flatters them, those things even out

Team to play Leicester: Alisson, Robertson, Milner, Matip, Fabinho, Keita, Wijnaldum, Jones, Mane, Jota, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Minamino, Tsimikas, Origi, Phillips, Clarkson, Williams.

Good enough 11 to win this,  3-1 to the reds

Hopefully we can get the 3 points today and emerge the otherside without any more injuries.

Let's do this redmen!

Klopp said Thiago was close to returning in his presser. Think he'll be back next weekend.
