So it's a done deal, £41m guaranteed and a potential £4m in bonuses. Hoever going the other way in a separate deal for around £10m plus potential bonuses and a 15% sell-on clause. Apparently, it was Lijnders who insisted that we should make this transfer.

I'm happy that we signed a big money player in a position that needed filling (back-up forward/winger), but I'm not convinced by Jota's quality at all and I'm not sure he warrants such a big sum of moneg while we refused to sign Werner for a similar price. From what I've seen of Jota, he is not a lot better than what we already have as back-up for our front three. I'm sure Klopp, Lijnders and whoever else is involved know what they're doing though, I've got no reason to believe otherwise.
