It seems we will be signing Dorukhan Tokoz from Besiktas today. Sources confirmed that he's already in Liverpool for medical. You hear it here first  :buttrock

Wouldn't mind adding him to the squad BUT currently not hearing any mention/rumour of him signing from the English press.

Was the Tea that bad last season  :wwww .

Like many in here, I would've rubbed my hands with glee if we'd signed a "quality" player to add to our squad.

Looks like that's not happening.

Guess we're just gonna have to trust in our managers belief in what we have is good enough.

Yup we don't need a Tea lady this season as Margaret has retired but Dorothy has come back from injury so we are sorted.

Well, we have a pretty good squad as it is, but siging no one of note was a mistake IMO, and looking at how all of our rivals have improved their team is making me slightly worried tbh. I hope we're not looking at a trophyless season ahead of us.

Oh man...£25M for Ryan Sessegnon? would be a good alternative/cover for both Robbo and Sadio

Would have been a good signing for us however sounds as though he had his heart on spurs. Think he wanted to stay in London so was always going to be difficult for us.

Sessegnon looked very poor last year - was supposed to be a big step for him but fell flat , looks to have all the ability in the world but could be the next failed wonderkid

He didn't have a good season but got to put it into context somewhat. 18 years old, playing in a pretty poor team which struggled to gel due to so many arrivals and that under 3 different managers. The season before, believe he scored 16 leagues goals albeit in the championship. Think Klopp would have developed him in to a real player and can see Pochettino doing the same for him.

I think Spurs will do with Ryan the same as what they did with Bale and transform him into a wide Forward. His defending as a fullback was really poor last year. I think he'll turn out to be a snip at £25m.

Good bit of speculation surrounding Lovren again. This time its Roma. A possible loan deal is being mooted as apparently we dont want to lose him.
https://www.empireofthekop.com/2019/08/ ... an-report/

Lovren has to want this move because of his situation here. He didnt even make the squad for Norwich and is clearly 4th choice so he has got to be pushing for it.

Don't know why we would even entertain the notion of loaning him though.
