Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

Come on Ian Rush left us for Juventus a year later and with tail between his legs he returned on loan with great success.

The club was able to forget and understand the value of Rush return as should we now.

Couthino followed a dream as did Rush at the time, Italy was THE destination then and should be treated the same.

Rush left with the clubs and fans blessing - he didn’t fake an injury or pay to get out

Just end the transfer window now before any more players leave the club. This has been the most boring transfer window in the history of the club.

Maybe the most boring but definitely the most settled window we ever had. Nothing wrong with a settled team, especially a team that just won the CL.

I completely disagree. You need fresh faces to keep the team hungry and to keep the squad on it's toes when it comes to
places on the team. More quality injected ito the team is never a bad thing. It prevents the team from becoming stale and comfortable.

Seem to be a lot of outlets running a story that Shaquiri could be a target for Monaco. 36mil apparently with him being offered 104k P.W on a 4 year deal.

We cannot sign anyone after Tomorrow so hopefully the club shuts up shop then as well for outgoings.

While I am happy we havent sold anyone of note I think we are slightly weaker than last season because we didnt replace players like Sturridge and Moreno and are opting for Academy players instead.

Sturridge was not adding much and Moreno was not adding anything except as Firmino’s friend, I don’t think it would be hard to improve on them. Sturridge had one great season with us but after that it has been disappointing. If you remember that great year then he’d be missed but in reality he will not. I’d rather give Brewster some minutes than the 2019 Sturridge. I still think we will be a more settled team and I think more teams will take points off us and City, so it is all to play for.

Shaqiri to Monaco for £36m??
The only way we could let that deal go through is if we have a replacement lined up ready.. Either Coutinho or Fernandes.

Well Man City have just signed one of the best Right backs in world football.. Cancelo from Juventus for £65m.

Hey, let's just sit back and watch our biggest rival become even stronger.

This would be a very good deal, in my opinion.

Shaqiri isn't a bad player, but he's struggled to make it as a regular first starter...and 36 million would be a great price, so long as we have someone lined up to replace him.

We already have one of the best right back and City also have one of the best right backs in Walker. I suspect they are going to play him at left back - another signing from City that shouldn’t bother us.
