They're coming to take me away,##,##
They're coming to take me away, ##,##.....is the cry from the Anfield office belonging to our paranoid manager. His attack on Martin O'Neill,in the press, this weekend was the rantings of the condemned man.

If we do not win today then it is time for GH's head to roll and start thinking about a replacement, eg. MON.!!!!!!!!!
Someday I will get to Anfield

I've just got out of bed - it's Sunday 4th January and I have an extremely apprehensive feeling due to the fact that in about two hours time, Liverpool will kick-off their FA Cup campaign against Yeovil. Prior to big games in the past against the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd - I never used to feel like this because the state of our side was good enough for the supporter to feel reassured. This wary feeling emanates from the current dismal condition of Liverpool Football Club, therefore I wish that Gerard Houllier would make 2004 a happy year by packing his bags and departing.
"People Say football is a matter of life and death" , " I believe it is much more important than that", Bill Shankly.

I think we are all a bit nervous today and it's ridiculous that we should feel so worried. Liverpool need to get out of the gates very quickly and tear into Yeovil as if they we Arsenal or Man U. It's not just about winning today it's about getting our pride back and earning some respect. We need to beat these guys and beat them out of site.
My best wishes go to all the players and all the fans who have made the long trip to see the game. Please put on a performance that stands out above everything else in this 3rd round. Here's hoping!!

I think it will take some major changes before we can see Liverpool playing with outstanding permormance on a consistent basis because I am afraid that the present players play without a strong mentality as if they have left their confidence shoewhere else.
At Anfield, Liverpool tend to worry more about not making mistakes than take chances and properly attack the opposition. On paper, the players are capable but when they play, that is not the case. I think Houllier and his methods are the main contributors to this and for this reason, he must go...definitely we must start with a new manager next season, otherwise we will continue to regress.

hi there I will keep this brief as my Bloody AOL Broad band service keeps conking out on me!
GH should invest in some wingers as we will not win anything the way we are playing at the moment!

I mean look at Sir Alex Fergusson, Having won 8 championships in 11 years says something for his scouting system and the way he has got the Man U boys playing???

He has got the urge to sell all the useful players who he thinks will undermine the way he runs LFC. He did not need to get rid of Fowler and Anelka as the Need for wingers is much greater and would result in more attempts on Goal and Goals in general if there were dedicated wing players ready to cross the ball like Beckham does. Real Madrid have changed to accomodate his presence in there team and look where it has taken them!

Ariahmad I can only but agree with you as this has been a very poor two years at the club.... but the thoughts on who to bring in is still up for grabs! I have tended to go for Fabio Cappello as a target but more closer to home people have talked alot about Martin O'neill (will he really leave a team the virtually has a 1/2 chance of winning a league title year in year out; which when they do come down to the Premiership....God help the mid table teams!... regularly beats the likes of liverpool and Blackburn!!!)
Gordon Strachan is a more likely choice/Candidate bringing in his old Scottish mate and old Koppite as his assistant a certain Coventry City Player-manager as He has alot more to gain from the move than say any of the others and hey! since when did the Kop have the chance of gazing on the League Championship Cup last?? i do not think any high profile guy is likely to just walk through the doors at anfield offering there services, do you! ???
