Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

All sorts of rumours flying around this term. Wonder if you've heard of the Suarez one.

"Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Luis Suarez as Philippe Coutinho looks set to leave Anfield for Barcelona in the current window, Spanish outlet Don Balon reports."

As much as i liked him i wouldn't want us to lose money so we get Suarez in exchange.
Also he will be turing 31 this Jan and why should we have used goods getting close to their sell date!

I would only accept if the losses are minimal.

Would be amazed if Suarez came back.

Wouldn't pay too much attention to stuff that's come from Don Balon.  They seem to come out with all sorts of unfounded ***** on a daily basis

Any thoughts on the credibility of 'This Is Anfield'?
They are saying that the deal is done and Countinho is gone.

Didn't Dortmund get a similar fee up front for that 20 year old kid? lol we really are a joke of a club these days, 4+ years left on his contract and no buy out clause and we still get taken the cleaners.

The same figure alright but think Dembele was in €uro's.  Under these owners we are going nowhere except in fecking circles around the garden path.
What the fook must the likes of Salah be thinking

I think some of you are overreacting. From a footballing perspective we'll never compete with them in the eyes of some players.

Barca have the best player to ever kick a ball (arguably), players are going to want to go there, they're based in Spain. Once his head was turned it was game over. The lure of playing for Barca are Real is too much to compete with. No team in England can compete with it (maybe City can but that's money related)

The club have had months to piece together a plan for when he goes, selling him this early in the window makes no sense otherwise. If we don't get anyone in I'll be peeved like

I think we all know what Salah will be thinking, mate....
He'll be in Dubai buying extra flip-flops and a copy of Madrid's Property News.
Hope we get to keep HIM till the summer at least.

We held his contract mate, it had 4+ years left on it and no buy out clause. We could have kept him if we wanted to, yes he might have f**ked off to Brazil in a huff for a few weeks but like Tevez he would have soon come back once he saw the money stop going into his bank.
No way on earth would he have wasted away the best years of his career by going on strike or downing tools, once he knew we were serious about keeping him he would have knuckled down, and with the likes of Van Dijk and Keita arriving he would have thought to himself I might have a chance of winning something here if I pull my finger out.
Truth is it was just too tempting for the club to turn down, buy a player for eight million and sell him five years later for a hundred and forty million, it's a business man's dream.

Mate it could easily be because I'm used to this after the Torres and Suarez sagas

I'm just praying to God that We didn't just buy VVD because we knew Coutinho was leaving .. and now don't have the funds available to replace Phillipe.

FSG will want some kind of profit from this massive transfer.

Use the money to buy an attacking midfielder and world class keeper.

Lemar from Monaco and Oblak from Athletico Madrid would upgrade our squad no end.

Klopp should shift Firmino in Coutinho role and buy a proper striker. I would try a cheeky bid for Dybala even though that is something of dreams.
