I feel Klopp won't start bidding on a dortmund player but since stoke put in a bid he threw his hat into the ring.

This lad is rated really highly by dortmund so I can't see it happening.

Also this is not a position we need to be spending this sort of money on, especially for more potential.

Enough of that now we need two top quality players to put the finishing touches to this team, get the bloody money out.

Should really be in the Klopp thread... But... There is still a glaring deficiency at the back (how he didn't see to address this after 10 months on the job is beyond me!) and a player to sit in front of the back 4 to break up opposition attacks. Like Masch, someone of that nature. Don't think Medel is the answer but there has to be others you would expect the scouting team to identify.

I think we actually have good centre backs. But they are exposed too often by a wide open midfield or our well documented problems at LB. Those are the two problem positions.

The first might be solved when Can is fit. The second could be solved by Milner, but sure as fk won't be by Moreno. I'd like to see us make a big signing in one of those positions before the window shuts.

In addition to above, I forgot about our keeper who doesn't save anything and flaps like fk at every cross. Hopefully Karius is an improvement.

We really need a LB and a defensive midfielder but I'm guessing Klopp thinks we're covered in both areas.

I know another AM is probably the last thing we need atm but that Coric lad is rated very highly, apparently he's been on the radar of the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern.
He's been compared to a more skillful version of Luka Modric which is high praise indeed.

Id be happy if we get the lad as long as we can add a LB and DM.

Coric has reportedly turned down Bayern and Man City, due to the fact both want to sign him and then loan him out again.

Seriously though, both of the mancs are looking at defensive strengthening according to this report. I'm not sure what we're doing. This problem has been since BR's stint...

Why Utd would want to bring in more defenders I'll never know. Their backup back4 of Darmian, Smalling, Jones, Rojo is probably better than what most sides in the league and CL can put out. Meanwhile, we have no left back of any quality, no cover for RB, and are looking to send out our 2nd best CB on loan.
