The problem Origi and one or two others will have is that we are absolutely packed to the gunwales with attacking midfielders and forwards. He will be competing with the likes of Coutinho, Firmino, Benteke, Sturridge, Lallana, Ibe, Markovic, Ings, Texiera etc for just 3 or 4 places in the team.

Now if only Rodgers uses his full allocation of substitutes in a game (statistically he makes around 2 subs per game. There were loads of games last season where he made only 1 sub....even in games we were losing).

Yes yes.. and Rodgers won't know how to use Origi correctly as well...  :lookaround

If Mario is staying then I'd loan him out to another Premier League side. Let him get use to the league by playing 30+ games with someone like WBA or Villa. He's not good enough to start for us and I can't see how he'll develop with a few handfuls of games.

I really think this lad is going to struggle in the league but I wouldn't send him out on loan. Rodgers does not want balotelli and its likely borini and lambert will leave so we would be awful naive if we left ourselves with only benteke, another gamble on sturridge and ings.

If he can't be a part of the squad this season then we shouldn't have bought him.

We can recall him from loan if that happens.

I doubt he will start any matches when we have so many strikers and attacking mids, so we might as well send him on loan instead of letting him rot in the reserves.

I know they are meaningless training runs but Ings showed more 10-15 minutes than Origi did in a whole hour.

He's been with us two minutes so lets castigate the lad !! WHINGE WHINGE FKG WHINGE  :help

Oh no CAPTAIN KOOL-AID is back again!

Read from the auto-cue captain before going off script.

I was praising Ings and criticizing Origi all in the same sentence.

But you obviously needed to rant incoherently again. So never mind the obvious.

The way it looks Origi is 3rd or 4th on the marching order (even without Sturridge) ,You have Benteke going  first ,Ings will go second and just then Origi.
I don't See Mario/Borini/Lambert staying and if they do have the Mario brothers do the dishes and toilets...I feel for Ricky though.

Sh.t Eds now you're even WHINGING about my threads !! Couldn't give a flying fk what you said about Ings. To criticise a lad that has been playing for the club for no time whatsoever is simply what I have come to expect from your tedious diatribes !!

Some decent touches and a well taken goal against a team that were proving tricky to break down. Well done Origi keep it up.

Yeah took a bit of scoring that, it wasn't a tap in, he had to react quickly to Milners flick, control the ball with a defender climbing all over him and then turn and fire it past the keeper.

We have Daniel for the position and we have Origi.

Hmmm, with only two strikers currently available I'd be surprised if (as some of us hoped for) we play with two up front.

Apparently Klopp's preferred formation is 4-2-3-1 anyway mate. However if he did want to go with 2 up top Benteke is in light training and will join the rest of the squad next week so he's not far away.

we're definitely a bit weak in the striker department. gone are the days when we could have called on the likes of voronin, aspas, el zhar, mellor, babel or ngog
