Mutu - Should benitez consider buying ?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Sean » Sat Nov 06, 2004 3:52 pm

I watched Adrian Mutu being interviewed on Football Focus today.  He has vowed that his wild days are over and that he has sought help from Tony Adams' Sporting Chance company to get his life and career back on track.

Mutu looked like a decent player during his early days at the Bridge before he discovered the London night life.

Could he do a job for Liverpool ?

I've heard that 4 out of 6 big Premiership clubs were interested in him.

You lot may be one of them...

From what i saw on FF today i liked him. He came across as honest and full of remorse for his actions.

He is a talented player, as demonstrated by his goalscoring exploits in Serie A. He scored laods of goals for a relatively weak team, Parma.

He started well at Chelski but faded later on, perhaps more due to the distractions off the field. If he can focus on his footballing career and forget the distractions, he can succeed.

He is certainly more skillful and powerful than Cisse, with Cisse having the edge on speed, that is all.
