Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Okay so he is a Coke head, but he has been sacked by Chelski and we take him on a game by game basis until he gets banned. Wenger says he would sign him. ???  ???

I don't know much about him but I don't have much against it in principle. I don't know what the big deal is, the drugs were NOT sport enhancing.

We couldnt possibly take him till he`s served his ban.It would make us look opportunistic.Lets leave that kind of thing to the man u and chelski`s of this world.

I'm just thinking about a short term solution to the strikers role for as little outlay as possible.

He wasn't getting in the Chelsea team and seems to shout his mouth off too much :;): :(

The one thing in this ones favour is that as it stands, I'd be surprised if anyone will touch him after his ban. Whereas if he went to a different club, worked his socks off for a couple of months until his ban with plenty of "I've learnt my lesson/ I've disgraced my country/ all I want to do is play football" interviews may mean that after-ban he was more marketable. Anyone who thinks that this is overly cynical is not living in the real world. I'm certain he would walk to Anfield for the opportunity.

i agree with Big Niall at the end of the day the drugs didnt make him play any better, football should jus be about football and nothing else, fair enuff he earns so much and people look up 2 him etc but he didnt ask 4 all the attention and he did not cheat any1. And the simple fact was when chelski 1st signed mutu he was a class act scoring goals left right adn centre and with both feet! towards the end and the mourinho reign he lsot his confidence and therefore dint play . I think sum1 like rafa can get the best out of mutu and control his temper 2. a big risk but i think would be a gr8 risk if it pulls off porb be the best bargain buy ever! lol

If we took Mutu, we might aswell put our reputation in a bucket and throw it on the pavement in Gladys St, for the Everton Fan's to walk all over.

Wouldn't spoil our reputation by taking him on.

Remember other fans with Robbie?  They'd have a stadium day (bigger than a field day).

i think if we could turn him around and again make him into a world class player  that would give our club a great reputation
a good one not a bad one
i say sign him, because i know rafa can do it
and he would be cheap
cheap is good for us
you dont get the glory for nothing, you have to work for it
the glory would be turning mutu around into a class player
we would just have to work for it and with rafa we have the man for the job

No simply down to reputation. We are critisized as it is already now imagine the names we would be called if we signed the likes of Mutu. No thanks, there are plenty of other strikers that are better than Mutu.
