Firstly please dont try and play the sympathy card with me i understand you are in hospital with a terrible condition.

Secondly You dont have the energy to converse with "idiots" or people "to stupid to understand basic concepts" but you have the energy to constantly wum people and drown people with your opinion

Zidane... One of the worlds best ever... Or someone who physically assaulted someone in a world cup final? He head butted people more than once in his career.

Like I said, blown out of all proportion. If someone bit me I'd laugh out of shock probably. If someone headbutted me they had best make it a good one.

Point it, this is not ending someone's career, kicking a fan, shagging a team mates wife er taking cocaine. It was an Italian snack.

Fellas, calm down, calm down!
No need to start having a pop at each other!
It's ok, if Barca and Real back off and we can keep him, Brendan has it sussed as was seen from Luis' behaviour last season....
Just make sure he's fed before the match and then give him a wee sandwich or a Pot Noodle at half time to tide him over and he'll be grand.
Luis is a growing boy, you can't blame the lad for having a healthy appetite, now can you? The guy had an odour of deep pan pepperoni with added mozzarella and our boy couldn't help himself.

 yep. Correct.

And you honestly think I want your sympathy? I was merely stating a fact that I dont want to argue with someone who fails to understand basic concepts and gave you a reason why. I certainly wasn't after your sympathy. Thats what the thread in general chat is for :;):

Guys and gals, let's be honest:

If he played for any other club, we'd be calling for his head. There is absolutely no excusing his actions and no matter what anyone says it reflects badly on the club. We'd be stupid to ignore that. The big question is are we in any more of a position to take the high road here than we were 18 months ago and I would say not at all...so as much as I disagree with it, we still need him and I am in favour of us not cutting off our noses to spite our faces.

My biggest concern that noone seems to have picked up on here is the possibility that interest in him does diminish and we have him off the field for potentially his peak years...so we have the cost of maintenance without the benefit. My hope is that they can't go that heavy on him. Personally based on the videos I have seen so far, it is obvious to me that the action looks very much like a bite, but I don't think the angle from behind is conclusive enough to hold up in any formal setting. I didn't have the feeling that the teeth marks on the shoulder picks were real....may be wrong and that will clearly be the most damning evidence. His argument against that seems to be not that his teeth made contact, it comes down to intent. I think the other 2 instances are much harder to argue against based on what I've seen.,

Regarding the man himself, I posted last night that he's clearly not right in the head (but it got lost somewhere), for me none of the instances look pre-meditated and the fact that they keep recurring indicates for me that he's not in control of it. Without wanting to be rude or offensive, I think that it is a mental illness issue more than anything else and I hope that he gets the help he needs. I know that this is a bit of a hippy thing, but he wouldn't be the first footballing genius to have a screw loose and using Gazza as the latest example, it was obvious to the world 25 years ago, but it never got handled properly and look at the story from then till now....we need to get away from using people and them throwing them away.

The parallel between a Gazza and Suarez is not so far off in my opinion. All these situations take people who have come from nothing and they get fame, fortune, adulation and media focus and they're simply not equipped to deal with it. I think that Suarez experiences this even more to be honest. He's a street footballer for me at the very highest level, but you can almost see him navigating the rocks and the uneven surface as he plays and that's where he comes from. I think that clubs and countries have a responsibility to help players in these difficult times rather than abandon them. I think that's what Brendan actually did last year and the results were plain to see. It looks to me that the world spotlight upped the ante for him and he flipped again.

Not saying that it isn't his fault, or that he shouldn't be reprimanded....everyone just tends to see these things in black and white. but there is often grey. I hope we are not hasty in our decisions.

The reaction of everyone across the board is crazy. Calls for him to be banend for life? It's not at all practical. If they ban him from domestic football who pays his wages? That would be ruling outside of their jurisdiction so you can guarantee we as a club would want compensation or his wages paid at the very least.

He hasn't killed anyone, Chiellini will go to training and be absolutely fine. It's definitely an odd thing to do and if I was on the receiving end of it I'd probably just think he's a bit odd really. I watched De Jong go studs first into Alonso's ribs and receive a yellow card, he also snapped Ben Arfa's legs and now people are saying ban Suarez because he's dangerous? I can hedge a bet on who's more likely to seriously hurt someone out of the two.

It's crazy and most definitely foolish but it needs some perspective here. He'll get hammered off FIFA and most likely receive a ban from Uruguay but they should stay away from anything domestic related. He's the one who put England out of the WC so our media aren't exactly going to be forgiving here

God knows what this means for our transfer plans tho...
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

We look after our own, despite their faults.

He's not ended the lads career, head butted someone or anything else. He's not even drew blood for f*ck sake. Absolutely fed up of the holier than thou attitude of some posters... As for brining embarrassment on the club, the so called fans do that themselves with stupid reactions like this to a petty incident and siding with the national media.

Suarez is a bit ***** nuts, he's also insanely talented so stop the ***** circus and the do gooder acts and move on... Because quite honestly the pathetic whinging and labelling makes you sound like complete *****.

Stu i say it with all the respect and sensitivity if you can't accept other opinions you can "*ck off and support the bell ends up the road".
Luis isn't family and he didn't share my ditch in the last World War ,he is a great footballer and an insane one. If he acts like a madman he wouldn't just get himself suspended time after time (remind you he missed a bunch last year?) it also reflects on the clubs name.

I understand your dream team consists of the Fellainis and Ballotellies of the world but i for one would like our Club to be represented with pride and not having us explaining/defending the acts for mad genius time over again.

Personally I couldn't give a toss what anyone else thinks about this club. Least of all the stupid media. You might. Thats your right, however for me I love my club no matter what, its where I'm from lad. Its in the genes.

Also fellaini and ballotelli  who ever mentioned them? I want my club to be the best in the world, thats not going to happen by getting rid of your best players.

Call Me Naive i don't my club to look like Real Madrid ,with a Fckturd as Ronaldo and the Likes Of Pepe and Ramos the Gangster brothers. I don't want my players to be involved in Criminal acts outside the pitch and i don't want them to behave like Thugs on the grass. If it costs me the title so be it.

dont see how this can effect our transfer plans one bit unless we had already decided to get rid of him. its also reported that rodgers has rushed to get a meeting with fsg  :glare:  why would he do that, lets not forget he was wearing a uruguay jersey not a liverpool one.
the only people who is dragging our club through the gutter is the british media who are desperate to fill the pages with anything except englands complete failure at the W.C.
