NEXT 5 GAMES - SWA, SOTO, SUN, MUN, CAR

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think we can take all the points. Sure, some games will be scrappy, and if we keep up the good work, pressing hard in all areas, winning the loose balls etc, getting those all important goal (even when we are not playing so well) then we can do it.

Also, being so close, for Stevie G, he above all else will want to take the fight all the way. He want 's the EPL title so much, this in turn will also invigorate all the players around him, not that they need invigorating because they have been doing very well. Let's see what happens......

Think we'll get at least 11.

In a funny way the defeat yesterday will make us stronger. You only have to see the run we built after the two defeats at Xmas.

We now will be both even more motivated for a strong finish and have little distraction for anything else.

Swansea are playing Rafa Benitez's Napoli on Thursday (Europa League), hopeing they will still have tired legs by the time we play them on Sunday. Hopefully we get start scoring from the kick off

Our reaction to losing this season has been very strong. Much stronger than our reaction to a heavy win.

We need to win all 3 home games with ease against Swansea, Sunderland and Cardiff.  At the least, we need to draw our two away games to Southampton and united, which would give us 11. Southampton and United are the only two teams in the top half of the table we have to play away for the rest of the season. I feel like the game we are least likely to win is probably Southampton, but if we beat united and take a lost at southampton, I'll be more than happy to grap 12 points.

I expect 11-13 points from these fixtures.

Liverpool's match with Sunderland on 10th March postponed to another day due to Sunderland playing a FA Cup game on the 8th or 9th March.......

To be honest I can't see an easy fixture in these 5 games. I'll go for 10 points again. We'll need more if we want the title though.

Behave yourself! Every one of those sides will be dreading playing us, home or away.

I predict we'll go unbeaten through these 5 games and come out with 12/13 points at least.

That's 3 points, a very tough one but 3 points nonetheless.
Is it true that we're the top scorers in the league?

Just saw the table. We have scored twice as many goals as we conceded. Only 4 teams conceded more goals than us in the league. I know some of you are of the Kevin Keagen mentality when he was at Newcastle (score more than your opponent) but we can't depend on our attackers all the time.

It's not a matter if we can depend on them we MUST depend on them as we have no other choice...

Well, nest 3 games are away, with the game against Sunderland postponed, i'm not sure when it will be rescheduled, anyhow, we must shore up other defences from the keeper all the way to the front. Defend in numbers, and do it well.

we can hardly moan about 3 games in 8 days when all season we've played one game then had 7 days off. we've had an easy season to be fair. Next season should be hectic again due to european cup footie again!
