Suarez and the club learned a great deal from each other. LFC is the most professional and dignified club he's played for. He just didn't realise it. Now he has, and I'm glad to see a much improved character and sportsman who has lost nothing at all for the lessons learned. He spoke to Steve Macca recently and appeared humbled. He was blinded somehow to what he is involved with: Liverpool FC. A giant of world football, and not simply for history, but for tradition and values that are far greater than all the other great clubs. I feel so much pride inside when I think of the wonderous way our club works as a living, breathing, ever evolving entity. Some clubs wouldn't ever admit it, but to those who truly understand the nature of football, we will always be the envy of all other teams.

Apparently Real wants Suarez and Hazard. Chelsea wants Suarez as well. Probably just Sh*t stirring by the team in blue who must be worried as hell seeing how close we are to the top.

Aye, just stirring. Everyone wants Suarez. He's the hottest striker in the world right now. Not many could afford him though. I'd say the situation is as it always was. Everyone wants but no one is getting.

It's good to see others stepping up to the plate now that his goals have relatively dried up recently. His overall play is still immense though.

you play your best players in their best positions. quite true and completely logical. but what happens when you have two players who, on current form, lay a claim to being the best goalscorer? rodgers has two options (three if you inlcude your 'bench sturridge' option but lets gloss over that one) - play suarez central and sturridge out wide, or play sturridge central and suarez out wide.

if you play sturridge out wide he is not going to track back anywhere near as well as suarez does. suarez always goes deep hunting for the ball, whether he's playing central or not. its just what he does. sturridge is also not going to create as many goals for the man playing central as he's always likely to cut in and shoot for himself. suarez will happily create when its the best option too. the fact is he always roves all across the front line anyway.

suarez form has not dipped in the slightest but the emphasis of his game has shifted. if it wasn't for the width of the coat of paint on the post he'd have 3 or 3 more goals to his name from recent games. meanwhile sturridge has been feeding off his (and coutinho's and sterling's brilliance) and been scoring a hat full of goals. in this system suarez and sturridge complement each other, swap them over and you minimise that potential. its a team game and rodgers has foind the best way to set out the team with these players. if sturridge wasn't scoring then we could see it as a problem - but he is and it isn't.

I personally think he is starting to look a bit frustrated out on the pitch.  He is a striker at the end of the day and I'm sure he was loving banging in the goals, breaking scoring records and being the most talked about player in the PL. 

Now he is having to do a lot of the dirty work.

For now I agree. But I also agree Luis is starting to look frustrated having to accomadate Sturridge, make no mistake about it, thats exactly what he's doing. Sturridge is absolutely lethal in front of goal, we know this already, but he doesn't offer enough of an allround game to be first choice in that position, for me, we need to sign a class wide player in the summer so we can get Luis back into his natural and best position and it will benefit us even more.

For now, Sturridge is scoring a bucket load and good on him. He has the goals, the difference is Suarez has EVERYTHING!

He was yapping on the radio in Uruquay recently. He says he had two regrets as a footballer: the two biting incidents. On the Evra saga, he says he has no case to answer, and that it was "false, like a movie that people in England believed in". He and his family are happy and settled in Liverpool and he feels he's matured. He'll give no more ammunition to the press so they'll have to talk about his football.

Encouraging stuff.

Suarez said so himself that he prefers to play as a second striker, in a more of a free role, so I doubt that he's frustrated for having to accommodate Sturridge. Even if you're right, the way we're set up is probably the best for the team at the moment anyway, so Suarez will have to take one for the team.

For the moment yes, only because our options are limited.

Come the summer, we should be looking to get him back into his best position where he can do most damage. I was always brought up to believe that you play your best players in the area's they do the most damage and play players in their natural positions. Crazy as that may sound to most these days...

As for him saying he preferes that role, can you show me where he said that?
