played the entire 90 and was awful, looked half fit to me. should have spent the past fortnight at melwood recuperating, trying to shake off that knock.

I don't either, he hasn't been since he joined united. And yet he is the model that everyone should strive to be in the world of football.

He is a lazy W*nk*r.

You've got to be kidding me?

Rooney's one of the best players in the country. f*cking stunning player. How anyone can question how good he is is beyond me and to call him lazy is quite simply incorrect.

I really do wonder whether some people watch football at times before commenting on it.

:no

Go on I'll bite
What is so stunning about rooney?

You can't blame the injury for the chance he missed. Shocking first touch and tried to control the ball with the wrong foot.

Always trying to be flash but ended up just fcking gash.

On the form shown for England tonight imo he's far from being  nailed on for WC squad.

the only thing that will stop sturridge going to the world cup will be injury, he`s already scored more goals than most other english forwards will get in a season.
he may not be a starter in brazil (i think england will play it cagey, load the midfield and go with 1 up front) but he`s an absolute shoe in to be on the plane to south america imo.
i`m more worried about his general form and fitness going into the derby game, he`s been carrying this knock now for 3 weeks but cant shake it off, we cant really afford our strikers to have time off or lose form because quite frankly if they dont score the goals no one else in our squad will.

Fook sake yakka don't reply like this often. It will ruin your reputation.  I agree with you completely.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I think thats one of the issues I have with the lad and why I don't suck his balls and shaft in the same way others do.

Hodgson is still haunting Liverpool despite being sacked from the job 3 years ago. Now as England manager he's picking all Liverpool's English players to play for him and worsening their injuries for our domestic games.

Club good form doesn't always translate to good international form although it is generally why a player picked. His performance against Germany was poor and personally I wouldn't pick him as a "shoe in" for the squad BUT with Hodgson in charge of England you're probably right, unfortunately  :( .

Post game Chief football writer Phil McNulty hit the nail on the head when he said about Sturridge

"Outstanding for Liverpool but yet to fully convince for England. At this level his over-elaboration often confuses himself rather than opposition defenders."

Ashton had a big fat ***** thats why :;):

I've heard rumours he is actually gay...

On a serious note, shame he got injured when he did. Dario Gradi was right about him.

You can't be agreeing with stuff like that Woof.

You'll get the Gerrard bashers and Sturridge lovers after your head. He's the best in the league don't you know?
