heres what he had to say on that subject in an interview he gave to the mirror in january.
Internet searches on Sterling bring up false stories about how many children he has fathered.

He has one daughter, Melody Rose, born seven months ago after a brief relationship.

Sterling added: “Some of the stuff you see is unbelievable. I’ve read stuff that I’ve got five kids and another on the way. It’s just crazy and it’s completely wrong.

“I find it funny to even think about it. If you bite at it, rise to the bait, then it makes it worse.

Ok so maybe only one child but that is irrelevant. He has had various cases where he was accused of assaulting women. A court case hanging over him will only distract him from doing well for the team, judging by last year.

Hang on a second, he had one kid in January, Lord knows how many more he's spawned since then  :D

I do believe you judged him on the amount of children he had - i believe it was lack of "moral backbone" - im sure you are ready to retract that statement as you got your facts incorrect.

No, I think having a child outside of a steady relationship could be deemed a lack of moral backbone but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in this case and say it was an accident. However persistently getting into altercations with woman shows a serious flaw in his morality so just like Suarez I will not apologise. I don't like the kid he seems like a c*&t and irrespective of how many goals he scores for us I will still consider him a c*&t, much as I have thought of Suarez ever since he refused to shake Evra's hand.

He is a kid - an immature kid who is growing up in the limelight. And here he is getting called a "c&nt" by his own fans based on allegations that were not proven.

Could you be anymore judgemental about someone.

Idiotically harsh comments about Sterling mate.Found guilty of nothing.Has one child that no doubt will be very well supported.

And to be frank I wouldn't ***** on Evra if he was on fire. He manufactured the handshake nonsense and Luis unfortunately was stupid enough to fall for it.The entire Evra "negrito" saga was blown up out of all possible proportion and United got exactly what they wanted !!

I agree with your sentiment on having children outside a stable relationship, that never goes down well, but lets be honest.  How many footballers have stable relationships? They date attractive girls, who are after them for their fame and their money. That's not a stable relationship that's just being used.

If people are going to be judged because they have a child outside a stable relationship then that's a lot of people that "lack morale fibre" - a lot

I think that's more a case of being responsible or not. A child raised in a broken home or between split parents is pretty much always going to go through certain struggles other children don't. Just read into the introduction of birth control, and how it affected crime 15-20 years. A lot to do with the parenting of these children.

As far as I'm aware Raheem has been responsible for his child so I don't think it's very far to judge him when not one single person will know the full facts.

Certainly don't think it's right to judge children because of their parents relationship.

Firstly I said I gave gave Raheem the benefit of the doubt regarding his child, secondly how on earth do you know whether or not he's contributing to the childs upbringing, are you good friends with him or something? Bottom line I abhor violence to women and children and although Raheem hasn't been found guilty, yet, there's no smoke without fire.

You gave him the benefit of the doubt that much you called him a scumbag ! And if he wasnt contributing the upkeep of the child do you not think we would have heard something from the mother. But he also had an interview recently when he spoke about his pride with the kid.

And when has Sterling ever ever been accused of anything to do with violence to a child !! He has been accused of an altercation with his g/f but is currently innocent - that means he gets our support until that changes.

You have sat there and judge a kid who hasn't even got out of his teens yet. Maybe you should wait until he is found guilty before judging him

Liverpool's Raheem Sterling girlfriend assault case collapses
Raheem Sterling Raheem Sterling walked free from court after the case was withdrawn

Liverpool and England footballer Raheem Sterling has been cleared of assaulting his former girlfriend.

The 18-year-old was accused of attacking 19-year-old model Shana Ann Rose Halliday during an argument after a night out in Manchester.

Mr Sterling, from Woolton, who denied common assault, walked free from court after the case collapsed.

Liverpool Magistrates' Court heard Miss Halliday's evidence contradicted earlier statements.

The court heard the player and Miss Halliday had gone out for a meal on 8 August but on the drive back to Liverpool an argument started about a text message on Mr Sterling's phone.

The prosecution alleged Mr Sterling assaulted her twice in his car, but it then withdrew its case when Miss Halliday failed to support the prosecution's case by giving "disappointing" evidence.

Mr Sterling, a winger, has appeared for Liverpool 43 times and has one cap for England.

A Liverpool FC spokesman said the case had been "a private matter for Raheem and as such we will not be making any comment".

If someone accused me of being Racist I wouldn't shake their hand either. Infact, I'd probably smack them one.

I thought Suarez shown great restraint.

Woolton ay... Must have moved, I picked his girlfriend up for a friend of mine last year as a favour to a friend of mine and took her to wythenshaw (i think it was), nice girl. If he's laid a finger on her he needs castrating and his head stoving in.

On a different note, he's f*cking ***** anyway and we should have sold him last year intstead of giving him a big f*ck off contract. league 1 player at best.
