I did read the post and he has done nothing that you could fine him for and it would stand.

You can't fine someone for saying the club have gone back on a verbal agreement

Wantaway Luis Suarez insists he's 'not desperate' to leave Liverpool FC

by Richard Buxton, Published Thu 08 Aug 2013 13:47, Last updated: 2013-08-08

Wantaway Liverpool striker Luis Suarez hopes a 'friendly' resolution can be reached over his future, but insists he is not desperate to leave Anfield.

Suarez arrived at the club's Melwood training ground this morning with daughter Delfina as he continues to train away from the first-team after angering the Reds with his public attempts to push through a move to Arsenal, who saw a £40million plus £1 offer rejected last month.

John Henry, Liverpool's principal owner, arrived on Merseyside earlier to personally oversee the ongoing wrangle with the controversial 26-year-old, who threatened earlier this week that he would hand in a transfer request in order to secure his move to the Emirates Stadium.

Suarez is also set to face tough punishment from manager Brendan Rodgers for what he claimed was a 'total disrespect' of the club and last night dismissed claims by the Uruguayan the club had reneged on a promise to allow him to leave if they failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, Suarez, likely to miss Saturday's friendly with Celtic in Dublin due to a foot problem, has reiterated his desire to join Real Madrid and says even pleas by teammate Steven Gerrard cannot overpower the lure of Europe's premier club competition.

He said: "I'm still defending the Liverpool shirt and I will do so until the last minute.

"My aim is to reach an agreement with the club in a friendly manner and I hope the clause we agreed a year ago is fulfilled. Up to now, it hasn't been.

"It's not that I want to or am desperate to leave, but I like things to be clear and a year ago I made my position to the club clear."

"Gerrard has a lot of history with Liverpool and his words are very important but everyone should understand that I need to play the Champions League to keep growing as a footballer. Now I have the chance, I want to take it," he added.

"A Champions League team (Arsenal) is making a big effort to get me and one always wants to be where they feel comfortable. There were a lot of rumours (about Real) that were different to reality: Madrid never called me personally or Liverpool to try and negotiate.

"Every player aspires to reach the top and Real Madrid is among the most important clubs in the world. It would be very difficult to say no to Real Madrid."

One player that will be leaving Liverpool this week is midfielder Jay Spearing. The 25-year-old made just 30 senior appearance since graduating from the club's youth academy in 2008 and is now set to return to Bolton Wanderers, where he spent last season on loan, on a permanent deal.

Meanwhile both Liverpool and Everton have been handed home advantage in their opening Capital One Cup ties. Notts County will travel to Anfield while fellow League One side Stevenage make the trip to Goodison Park for the second round, scheduled for the week commencing August 26.

the club has taken the hard line and have backing over this now.

We just pushed Reina out on loan to get him off the wage bill after claiming they would compete for the spot.
The club might claim to take the hardline but in reality when it comes down to a choice between selling him for 40 mill to Arsenal or keeping a unhappy player with a high wage on the bench we are going to sell. Hopefully RM or some other foreign club comes in with a bid so we dont have to sell to a rival club, but i will be very surprised if Suarez is still a liverpool player when the transfer window closes.

Another option:
Keep him but place him out on loan to an aspiring Spanish Club for a season, someone like Valencia or Aletico Madrid.
That would pizz both Arsenal and Real Madrid - nice irony!

How would it benefit us though mate ?

If the owners are willing to splash out a lot of money on other players then we could loan him out

£50m would be a good amount of money to bolster the first team up.

selling him to arsenal would be a disaster for us mate, the season is never won in the first 6 games and despite us believing his next misdemeanor is on the horizon it wont come this year. he will knuckle down for them and play like he did for us.
city or the chavs would be acceptable if we are to sell to a prem team but no way arsenal.

I think given Suarez's latest behaviour Arsenal might think twice about pursuing him at any price let alone £50m. His reputation was awful before this transfer window. Respected journalists (Henry Winter) are now describing Suarez as toxic. Suarez is now looking like he is prepared to lie his way out of Anfield and if it comes to choosing who I believe then I'm afraid it is going to be BR every day of the week.

His behaviour is having a detrimental affect on his value and I would be amazed if he has not infringed the terms of his contract. It is an utter disgrace that the club has got to pay an employee close on £100k a week to behave like a spoilt brat.

Imagine selling him to Arsenal then we go and purchase 3 quality signings and get CL next season whilst Arsenal miss out.

What is this, signs of positivity, we could actually acheive something, from benny, surely not.  :D

Selling to Arsenal would strengthen them and weaken us, not just becuase Suarez is a hell of a player but also physcologically. It must not happen.

suarez is showing his true colours in all this but i still wouldnt think its deterring wenger at all. he is hoping suarez will force it through and they are really desperate to show some intent as to avoid turmoil with the fans.
his behaviour is also beginning to have a detrimental effect on the team and he will upset the cart sooner or later and he isnt worth that. i believe he has already pushed boundaries with the fans and the club and your right he doesnt deserve a wage for this.
refusing to play the remaining 2 preseason games for me is the last straw

That would be the ultimate irony...but did you stop and think for a minute what if his goals were to nett an additional 15~20 points for Arsenal next season and get them the 4th spot? Do you think that alone is worth the £40,000,001? Some silly suggestions here that the club would not keep a £100K/week player in the stand but people like the owners & BR will take into consideration the amount of backlash from the fan? the loss of face for backing down and kòu tóu to a renegade member of the stuff? the cost of buying a replacement now when everyone knows how much we've got in our transfer kitty? the cost of strengthening our nearest rival? the cost of not getting a CL spot? etc etc It's just not a matter of £ and p now it's the overall message we sent out to all our rivals, the image of the club and the cost of not qualifying for CL spot come end of next season.

The most likely scenario is if Arsenal are prepared to break their piggy bank and pay an obscene amount of £££ our way or to teach this rat a lesson then sell him during the next transfer window when many more CL teams will be desperate and look for a non-cup tied player to strengthen their assault in Europe. That would make a much better business sense for us. No source...just my thought  ???

It all depends on how we use the money - Suarez could possibly play like he did for us in his first season or not fit in at Arsenal whilst we use the money and purchase some quality players to improve our overall squad. The problem is I don't trust the club to bring in the right quality.

Suarez has been asking to leave all summer long and it was always going to get messy - he can't play for the club so we take the money and spend it wisely. We are in a no win situation right now - if other clubs aren't going to bid for him ( and it appears that way ) and Suarez still insists he wants to leave via a transfer request etc then what is the suggestion - no point having players at the club that clearly don't want to be at the club ( we saw that with Torres ) . Just like with Torres - if Arsenal start talking £50mil then we accept it IMO
